The State of Arrentine has issued a proclamation that it will be defending regions of space in and around the Orion Nebula complex (M42 and M43 for those who want to look up Meissier Objects). The defense is mainly for security interests and defense of Network Relay Stations to Arrentine Major. Arrentine will also monitor all traffic within the region.

Four New Candidates for colonization in the Orion Nebula have been determined. Scouting ships will be sent over to begin scans.

BoSS Motion 27

The BoSS will be given control of an NPC country or coalition of unspecified size, which will be used to create a war, with the purpose of bringing players out of inactivity and increasing the liveliness of the thread.

The war will damage the military and/or civilian population of player-controlled countries, but none will be destroyed or severely crippled (unless the player wishes this), and players may request to be excluded entirely. Mildly inactive players will not be attacked until they post at least once, and entirely inactive players will not be attacked, unless they are so inactive that their lands have become NPC-controlled.

This motion will additionally give the BoSS control over the NPCs in uninhabited lands, in order to provide a better defense against the invasion.

The BoSS will, when conducting this invasion, write it in the form of fairly lengthy posts, with the intention of stretching this conflict out and allowing for the use of tactics and plots, in order to provide entertainment for all.

Sounds fun, just one question. Will the NPCs be scaled to match the different levels of power each nation has? Because a NPC that can take on Sith or D chip would smash me and a NPC I could fight would be under powered against older nations.

New Projects:

High Earth Orbit Station 1:
High Earth Orbit Station 1 (HEOS1) will be the new location of the 4th fleet’s high command. It will be in geostationary orbit over Vietnam. The station will have various defensive measures including GUARDIAN,T.E.S, fighter, IPBS and teleport blockers.
The station will be run by the navy but will also have a garrison of marines. The station will also have a star gate to connect it directly to other hub zones.
The station is capable of having up to 1 battleship, 2 carriers, 5 Cruisers and 10 frigates dock at once for repairs. This won’t be common though as the moon colony will usually have more than enough room for repairs (8 years)

Expand colony:
The moon colony is small at the moment but it is planned to be expanded up to a population of 40 million. It will have standard defences (shield, garrison, anti ship weapons etc.) as well as support from MBC (see project below). (5 years)

Moon Base Charlie:
Moon Base Charlie (MBC for short) will be located on the newly colonised section of the mo0n. It will have a ship yard and harbour for the 4th fleet, as well as dry docks to create new ships. It will have a complement of fighters and IPBS for air defence as well as the GAURDIAN setup. It will also has a T.E.S. MBC will have a star gate to connect it to other hub zones
To defend against ships it will have multiple anti ship coil guns (think super MACS from halo) stationed over the Tanician controlled moon surface. The base will be stationed by all branches of the defence force but the Navy will be in over all command. It will have a garrison of 650000 troops but the total head count will fluctuate as ships come and go. (5 years)

HFPE
The Earth Research and Development Complex:
The Earth Research and Development Complex (ERDC for short) will be a collection of research facilities on my earth land and moon colony. They will all be hidden far away from the public. They all will be hidden at least 5 km underground, out of site from any spying craft above it. Each will span an area of 1000km^2 more than enough to handle any foreseeable project.
They will each have a security detail of 15000 soldiers and will be only 5 minutes away from support from reinforcements. There will be various identification methods to prevent spies gaining entry (which I’m sure older nation will be able to get around such as clone detection, teleport jamming and clocking detection. Each facility will also have its own energy shield to protect from orbital bombardment for in case they were ever discovered.

I have an idea for a powerful weapon... The name alone should make the basic premise clear: Temporal Cannon. And I would like to attempt to make one with your tandem assistance.

The end product should be capable of ripping the target out of the normal flow of time, removing them from normal existence permanently. Reversing the effect is something to consider, but is not essential to the main project.

This is a weapon of vast capability. Highly destructive, yet precise. Completely destroys (From a conventional standpoint that is, even though the target still exists, it can no longer interact with the standard planes of existence.) the target, yet is capable of causing no collateral damage with the same shot. A carpet bombing with the precision of a scalpel.

Interested? Both the TGE & R'ni would then have free reign to make their own versions.

End HFPE.

Also @Magery:

It turns out I was slightly mistaken. It is Dark ENERGY that has negative gravity, not Dark MATTER...

The State of Arrentine has issued the latest news of fleet production. Currently, the Arrentine Defense Space Fleet is composed of roughly combat 1250 ships and 1750 support ships. The fleet composition is composed of below:

12 Flagships (12 fleet commanders)
250 Capital ships (including Carriers and Battlecruisers)
500 Cruisers
500 Frigates

The ADF has also listed where each fleet is stationed and will be used, listed below:

1st Fleet: Homeworld Defense Force (Arrentine Major)
2nd Fleet: Homeworld Defense Force (Arrentine Major)
3rd Fleet: Homeworld Defense Force (Arrentine Major)
4th Fleet: Sol Network Relay Defense Command (Home base in Anchorage)
5th Fleet: Homeworld Defense Force (Command Fleet, based from Arrentine Major)
6th Fleet: Orion Nebula Expansion Fleet (Based from Palavan)
7th Fleet: Arrentinian Earth Defense Force (Based From Kiev)
8th Fleet: Arrentine Orion Exploration Fleet (Based From Palavan)
9th Fleet: Arrentinian Earth Defense Force (Based From Anchorage)
10th Fleet: Colonial Defense Force (Dag'Ron Tek)
