Also, Sith, if you didn't yet know (stupid question, of course you'd know, but it's cool enough to announce anyway), scientists in the US have managed to actually engineer an end-positive fusion reaction in the last week or so.
It probably won't have a practical use for a while because of lobbyists for the current power companies.
That is solely depending on how well the public is informed of this. If the public remains woefully uninformed, it may NEVER happen because nobody knows of it even existing & then subsequently demanding it be used. If the public is informed (As any public-ruled government REQUIRES...) then the government could be pressured into looking into it & quickly acting in its favor; otherwise they would be liable to loss of political power. (Even more important to them than their lobbyist influences.)
Power generates a lot more money than the lobbyists can... I seem to remember $300m set aside for ONE congressperson's pet project; on a bill that would cost only $50m on its own...
Power gives them a, metaphorical & literal, printing press to make money. Lobbyists give chump-change compared to what they can vote into action for their pet projects & themselves.
Edit:
How does this thread generate such random subjects? Is it because this is multiple peoples' renditions for the future & similar situations?

Sith, I feel obligated to point out now that Eno's country is more accurately referred to as the
Ascendant Kingdom
rather than the
Remnent Kingdom
(by the way, the word itself is actually spelled "remnant", not "remnent", though the mistake is easily understandable when you consider the way you actually
pronounce
it)

I'm going off the Country list on page one, I know its not updated, but its the best thing I have at the time.
And on the second comment. I saw the paper about it. The reaction only lasted milliseconds. The reaction was promising as it showed generation in power rather than a loss.
OOG: Sorry, I've been busy recently and haven't been able to play for a bit and don't have much time to make this post now so I'll be quick. But first...
Yet when I try to wipe out a troll you guys give him a chunk of California.
I presume you mean Itblobboy, I didn't give him part of California. I just let his colonists camp out in the desert of California until they could get a permanent place to stay. I don't see how he is a troll, what has he done to be called that?

I'm more referring to Darknis & his ilk. Itblobboy is not truly meeting the criteria of 'troll'...
Edit:
Slightly rephrasing it then... 'Darknis & his ilk, behaving as such.'

Well Itblobboy
is
Darkniss's ilk. He's just started playing nice.
WTF?
Hold on what's going on? I read the rules, I took sincere interest in this and all that, I was trying to be as sensible as possible to a reasonable extent, why would I be considered a troll? What did I do wrong to even be considered one? :L *facedesk* Furthermore, what is "Darkniss's ilk"? I'm... I don't know what's going on
I seriously don't know everything about this game already, can someone be constructive about this and let me know what I did thats considered against the etiquette here?

Welcome to DOJ News!
Project ENEP - 3 Years.
Project Black Hole - 34 years.
Project Gullibility Removing - 4 years.
Colonists have remained steady in construction and growth. Everything is looking well on earth. More of Earth's culture is being learned of, and trade has remained fair. Nothing massively interesting.
That's all for DOJ News this time with... Oh yeah, Rusty Shackleford.

The fusion reaction itself outputted more energy than was inputted into it, but the process as a whole was an energy sink. It's still quite interesting though.
Olympic Update: Events up to Day 7 Will be posted tomorrow. Be prepared.
-----
The Constellation Program is underway to Arrentine, and the Program Manager is excited on the developments in the fields of astrophysics. The program manager is expected that the various projects will excel the science base in Arrentine.
Arrentine congratulates its Olympians for its recent medals and congratulates other nations on their medals also.
The Orion Project is excelling, with the four new colonies expanding quickly. The Constellation Program is now being developed on Palavan as the ADF is expected to build massive science facilities for the program. Dag'Ron Tog is quickly rising to become the trading center of Arrentine, however, Anchorage still holds the title for trading capital in the nation.
