I am perhaps the most cultural person in this game. Or, as I put it in the wikia chat.

"Ranking is based on culture or military, based upon which path you follow
I've developed further culturally then you have militarily, therefore, I'm higher."

Also, Sith, not sure if you saw, Anchorage will host the Winter Olympics on Feb. 8th, and you've been given a $1 billion loan by the IOC to fund them.

Joseph explicitly states that defeating a country in war will not raise your rank.

Ninja, like he said, has put all the time and effort I've put into my technology (and a fair bit more, actually, since he was doing it well before I came along) into developing his culture and so on, which is why he both has his rank and only has really developed 2100s-era technology.

Comparatively, his development in culture is ahead of my development in technology, so he's higher than me.

Hmm... did we ever discuss some sort of rankings split where nations were ranked militaristically and culturally in separate lists? I swear someone in the BoSS raised it and it got shot down, but I can't remember why.

Can't be bothered to use it.

Also, if you guys thought my major wasn't awesome enough, I get to work with actual Kepler Space Telescope data, COBE data (First satellite to map the cosmic microwave background radiation), use Gamma Ray Spectroscopy, and X-ray Photoelectron Spectroscopy for lab reports.

Thanks to Sith for help in this project. I'm modifying the Rerum system from several threads ago. If you want details on that, just ask.

Modifications to Rerum
• Anything within the shield will be saved to the system as data.
• An AI will monitor the data at all times.
• Unauthorized data will be similar to computer viruses and will be eliminated.
• A specific command must be given to allow new data to be added (for example, a fleet) from a single access point.
• Said access point could be the supercomputer itself. A very small group of people's data would be permitted in this universe to put commands into the system.

My take on this situation from a CYOC rules perspective: Ninja could do his best to imitate known (and some HFPE, he has spies) TGE tech to the best of his abilities, with a delay of at least a decade or two between a new TGE technology being released and Atlantis copying it, unless it's something mundane.


But yes, this is rather immature.

The current BoSS is halfway through its term; here's a possible agenda I've drawn up:

- rules on voting for self
- codifying suggestions / tradition tidbits
- - - orange and yellow mainly used by BoSS
- - - don’t copy tech
- - - don’t doublepost unless necessary
- - - don’t liberally use gods in warfare (only in plots)
- trade and currency standardization
- - - World Credit value
- - - specifying weakness & strength of country, ensuring trade?
- reviewing the void rule
- attracting new players
- revisiting making multiple country lists
