The Global War (300 years ago):
The Global War is notable for two occurrences: the highest death count for any war in the planet's history, as well as the development of the atomic bomb. The war was fought between Initertia's largest nation- the continent of Intisia- against three other nations- the continents of Ontisia and Ente**a to the east and the island of Lountisia to the west. 150,000 Initertians were killed- 40% of the planet's population at the time.
The Unification War (275 years ago):
The years after the Global War focused on reconstruction, during which all nations unified under a confederate-type government except for the island-state of Lountisia. The short war lasted just 2 months, and by the end Lountisia was annexed by nearby state Intisia. The new government created an oligarchy, with leaders from all states governing together. This event caused a major advancement in technology, leading to the planet's space age. During the space age, great advancements were made in nuclear technology, and many weapons were tested on Initertia's fourth moon, Ecliptia, rendering it uninhabitable due to radiation.
The Lunar Wars (243, 240, 206 years ago):
The Lunar Wars were fought after Initertia colonized it's closest habitable moon, Ambitia, and discovered the presense of a hostile alien civilization, the Yash*ia. After several attempts at eradicating the race, the Yash*ia were thought to be extinct twice- hence the periods of peace between the wars. During the final Lunar War, the Yash*ia stole 200 50-Megaton nuclear bombs, and detonated them at a single location in southern Ontisia, a city known as Myam**a. The force of the explosion caused earthquakes across the planet, and nuclear fallout caused massive damage to the atmosphere. A mere 20,000 Initertians survived on the planet.
