THE FORWARD UNTO NIGHTMARE , IN ORBIT ABOVE SINGAPORE

To Jane, the Tanician fleets seemed to move in literal slow-motion before her sensors; she was the oldest and most advanced SADIST in the Sparkadian Intelligence Division, the sort of AI who could bring down a lesser nation single-handedly, and when combined with the intelligence and processing power of the countless Scions melded together to form the flagship she was currently inhabiting... suffice it to say the gestalt entity that currently made up the Forward Unto Nightmare 's systems was more than capable of bringing down multiple lesser nations.

Orders came and went at the speed of instants, propagating out through the Quantum Fortress until every ship knew exactly what it was required to do, and when. The purpose of this current battle might to be to win it, but that didn't mean that Jane was going to let it be an easy victory for the Republic. That would take all the fun out of things.

The Aylss Independence Fleet spreads out above Singapore, performing extremely brief FTL jumps to get into position such that they surround the Tanician fleet in three dimensions; the Forward Unto Nightmare is the only ship attacking from 'below', with the rest of the ships spread out amongst 'above', 'in front' and 'behind'.

They unleash their own salvos of weaponry at the Tanician fleet, weaponry discharges calculated to impact Tanician ships but, in the event they somehow miss, not hit other Independence Fleet ships (that is, the Independence Fleet ships won't be caught in their own crossfire), and also unleash their own swarms of fighters.

Furthermore, the Forward Unto Nightmare , being closer to Earth than any Tanician ships (as it is 'below' them), directs one of its fighter wings to instead enter the atmosphere and assist in eliminating the Tanician naval fleets from above.

Should the Tanician fleet copy the Independence Fleet's tactics, they will revert to a series of running engagements, hopping in and out of FTL just long enough to get a few salvos off at the enemy before again retreating to FTL - thanks to the hyper-advanced AIs controlling them, this tactic can be performed far more optimally than it could be by organic commanders.

The Forward Unto Nightmare will also release a quarter of its complement of IPBSs to assist its fighter wing in combating the Tanician naval fleet.

The Kyron Liberation Fleet will open fire upon the Tanician naval fleets, and launch their own aircraft to engage the Tanician's. As they do so, the Liberation Fleet will spread out into a half-moon circle, concave toward the Tanician fleet, attempting to corral them in a specific area (not encircle them, but rather 'shepherd' them such that weapons fire forces them to either split up individually, making them rife targets for AI-calculated precision strikes, or cluster together to keep their shields overlapping, thus allowing them to be focus-fired both by the naval fleet and the incoming fighters launched by the Forward Unto Nightmare ).

The aforementioned fighters will attempt to use the element of surprise to eliminate as many enemy fighters and smaller craft as they can by assaulting on a direct vertical vector (coming in parallel to the y-axis), catching them in a crossfire between themselves and the Liberation Fleet fighters.

They will attempt to remain above the Tanician fighters (though they are the same make and model, they have entered the atmosphere from space and thus have automatic height superiority, giving them an advantage should any Tanician fighters attempt to climb to their level or higher) and engage them from there, also coordinating with the Liberation Fleet to launch strikes on weakened naval vessels in attempts to cripple or destroy them.

The IPBSs will assist them in this endeavor, following similar tactics.

Commander, intelligence indicates that the Tanicians will soon receive reinforcements - their space forces will be augmented by their Second Fleet, and their air and naval forces will receive further aid launched from Hanoi and Sacromento. Do you require your own simulated reinforcements?

No. The intent of this war is not to win it - we have no interest in claiming Singapore or in escalating this conflict too far. For now, we shall make do with what we have, though, if you could, contact [YURIEL OF LIGHT]. I have need of his services.

The IMO woke up this morning to be given an announcement concerning some public policy by Teryn Schenn, only for him to be interrupted by a strange-looking insane man, who called him out as an oppressor and a coward. This man was promptly escorted out of the crowd and banned from all future political events involving the Teryn. When questioned by authorities he refused to give his name, and kept telling them "The sea will rise, and I will conquer."

In other news, the Oceanus Corporation research center outside Valani was attacked last night by some unknown person or group of people. Given the destruction, it was likely to have been a significant amount of people. The vast majority of its research materials remained intact, although three undisclosed objects were missing. The Oceanus researchers were very concerned about what was missing, but would not disclose anything further in the interest of protecting national security.

Upon the arrival of the morning shift, they came to find the entire parking lot filled with vehicles. Upon entering the building, they found the lobby, quite literally, falling apart, and several secretaries and security guards lying with their limbs disassembled, with several simply being splatters on the wall. They immediately informed police and investigated the area further to find that the entire night shift had been brutally murdered, and the CEO of Oceanus Corporation, who was at a meeting involving research projects at the time, was found with his head removed. Upon autopsy of his body, his head was found to be inside his body. The morticians have no idea what could have caused such a thing.

The total amount of deaths that night numbered 1,027, ranging from the CEO to the first-floor janitor cleaning the bathroom.

Nobody be alarmed by this, FYI. This is just a simple plot I do to introduce a "change in government."

Three naval fleets from Vietnam move in to towards the Singapore battle. They move into 6 spear formations to break apart the enemies corralling manoeuvre. Each fleet moves in from a different direction (one form the east, one from the north east and one from the south east.)

Back at HQ in Hanoi sensors detect enemy fighters and IPBSs moving towards the battle and alert all forces. They scramble more fighters and IPBS and order the ones already scrambled to intercept as does Sacramento HQ. With the distance they have they are able to gain height to reach the enemy fighters. Once they reach the enemy fighters and IPBS the engage and hold them off from the navel fleets.

While the enemy squadrons are held off the 3 reinforcement fleets launch their own bombers and fighters to support Hack****s fleet until they arrive.

Once the fleets arrive they push through the half moon circle formation of the enemy fleet (while firing at them of course), breaking their formation into 5 smaller formations each separate by a half a fleet on each side. Hack****s fleet now that it is not being herded by the enemy moves towards this mix mash of ships plugging one side of entry/exit for the enemy fleet. While this happens the 6 sub fleets fire on the enemy catching the enemy in a cross fire.

Anderson was now surrounded by the enemy fleet with the enemy ships below him launching fighters and IPBS down towards the naval fleet. There was little he could do to stop them. But he was able to destroy the carriers the launching the small craft.

He orders his destroyer and cruiser class ships to teleport around the enemy combat ships (ships other than the Carriers) to harass and distract them. While they do that Anderson’s own ship, his frigates and bombers engage the carriers below them to destroy them. This to prevent the enemy small craft from refueling, rearming and getting repairs (Singapore’s airport’s won’t be large enough or set up to be a replacement).

Space battle continued

The remaining ships stay to defend their own carriers. The fighters will continue to perform defensive actions to prevent enemy bombers from reaching the larger ships and protecting Tanicia’s own bombers from enemy fighters.
Anderson knows this won’t win the battle but this may buy some time for the naval fleet until the 2nd fleet arrives.

The network went offline today when the company took down a portion of the network in their corporate headquarters of R’ni, which somehow triggered a cascade failure throughout the system, locking out all communications through the entire network and broadcasting immense psychic noise before the Maelvor engineers managed to shut at least that portion of the network off.

Sir, as you no doubt have been kept appraised I will not bore you with simple facts. The entity has been extracted from the node and is currently being locked down inside a shielded unit until we can take it to a secure facility that its specific capabilities can*t escape from while we try to get more information.

We do have one major revelation though sir, the thing is sentient. Its actions and responses made that clear enough.
