I agree with Cyanide that it should be an overall score and any feedback or comments. The problem with splitting things up is that the scores always seem to be really close in each category, and not everybody easily understands what each category means.

If there were more guidelines as to what we were supposed to draw, a template like Nop's would be useful, but (with this thread at least) it's just a matter of drawing something. Nobody was told they had to use a variety of characters, for example, so it's not fair they should be graded negatively because of it.

Edit: Just an afterthought - since colour isn't meant to be a factor, it may be wise to ask or discourage the posting of the colour variants so everything is graded as equally as possible in next thread.

I definitely think it should be implemented eventually, but it's really unnecessary as of now. However, when voting begins, a slight outline could be useful to describe how to rate (it sounds like Cyanide already has plans to introduce this).

Basically what my rules were going to be so far was,

1¸.ˆ.•No 'pity rating'. Do not give someone a higher score than they deserve. Be honest and fair with all of your ratings.
2¸.ˆ.•Be very conservative with your “10's”. You should not submit a rating sheet and have 5 people's drawings rated at a 10. This ties into rule 1.
3¸.ˆ.•Do NOT rate based on colours.


I could add Nops suggestions into the fray as well. Like this...

Reminder to all Artists : If you entered a drawing in this contest, remember...You MUST rate some drawings at the end of this contest.

I will make every attempt to contact everyone if they don't rate after several days. I would absolutely hate to disqualify someone because they did not rate some drawings.
