Hi all

I didn't find a pre-existing thread that did what I had in mind, so I've decided to create this one.

How to Play

Each person conjures a conspiracy about anything that you're reminded of from the previous poster's conspiracy theory. It can be Runescape or real-life related, whatever your whimsical heart desires

Examples

Player 1: Cabbages cause flatulence, so they're the main cause of global warming.

Player 2: Global warming is the real reason why penguins despise humans and are in for our demise.

Player 3: Larry the zookeeper is actually a double agent. He think he's a penguin. He actually is insane.

etc.

And don't worry, there's no need for complexity, just post whatever comes to mind!

Purpose

This game is meant to parody the out-of-hand nature that rumors and conspiracy theories sometimes exhibit, so in a way this game has elements of Telephone.

I also wanted to foster a sense of community by making everyone's posts related to some degree, and to have fun. Plus, I love the creativity in games like these ^_^

Yay! So I'll start off with--

The reason why clans citadels are castles in the sky is because Jagex applied for a building permit, but got denied, and floating castles are less conspicuous and can float away fairly easily.

The real reason why Jagex converted all climbing boots to rock climbing boots is because Mod Mark's cousin had hoarded millions of them at 12 gp each and wanted to sell them for 45k each.

This is about Jagex so I hope it's related enough...

And your conspiracy theory can be about anything! And that's a good one, I thought it was clever--conspiracy theories about Jagex are the best since it's funny trying to guess what happens in Jagex castle lmao

The largest merc* clan is actually owned by Mod MMH. He simply denies it and feigns ignorance ø_ø

^ This is true, however the motivation behind merc(h) clans is NOT profit, as one might expect. In fact Mod MMH is working in coordination with top secret government agencies to conduct psychological studies concerning the behavior of people in response to specific economic conditions.

The Trans-Pacific Alliance is actually a multinational, blockbuster movie contract for a cinematic mash-up of Transformers and Pacific Rim, and will be shot across the "12 Pacific Rim countries"

that movie is actually a cover up to allow the military to test out experimental weapons, and movie sales are just to cover the cost of manufacturing the weapons and running the tests. Old School

Jmods pretend to be noobs in-game and poll reactions, so they know how not to act nooby when they're on their official jmod accounts.

Hah. About Jagex and noobs, I can share a cool story with you also.

Now you have probably heard Mod Mmg left Jagex. You may have read his goodbye message and the reasons why he left. That's not the truth. Forget everything. Here's what happened.

So, Mark Gerhard was a noob. Not any noob, but a true noob. Although he started Runescape in 2007, his account was only level 32 in 2009 when he became the CEO of Jagex. Despite the fact that he was playing about 2 hours a day.

In 2014, when his account had reached level 70 combat, he was attempting to kill Elvarg. He died in ten seconds. "Thank godness, I didn't have a skull, I kept my mithril items", he thought.

"It's impossible!", said Mmg to his co-workers. "Without my mithril kiteshield I would have died in 2 seconds!"

The rest is history, no matter how Jagex try to hide it.
