I expect to have it re-gifted as a St. Paddy's day present for me.
drama!

I'm surprised st patrick's day is so popular in the US - think I remember seeing green milkshake advertisements and such. it's barely celebrated here lol, rarely any merch is on display

apart from the Irish themselves that live here, they typically go all out lol. it's fun
speaking to yourself is cool as hell btw

barney was a highly influential character on my early childhood. i got a barney plushie for my first birthday
in all seriousness, mr blobby was the same for me. I went through a couple cos his eyes kept falling out. clearly he was decomposing, and thus was real. I miss blobs

lots of americans are part irish. im german/irish with a super generic irish name. but more importantly its a good reason to get drunk. its a good thing most real irish people arent part of the whole offence culture thing. cuz we butcher ireland here with our ridiculous amounts of green, leprechaun hats, and clovers on everything

I always find it odd that people celebrate a national day which isn't exactly theirs. I mean, I'll probably be on the island of Ireland for Paddy's, but I shan't celebrate it - could use it as an excuse to celebrate my national day, which occurs at a similar time though. ;)
