It's interesting you mention that, I spoke with my GP a few months back about this and the response was on the lines of the following:

They generally aren't recommended because the immunity doesn't last very long and therefore you need to be injected often to keep your immunity up. Over time, you'll also need stronger injections to keep your immunity up

With this in mind, there's always a risk that this higher exposure (even if it's considered a reasonable amount by doctors) can cause you to go into anaphylactic shock, which can be really dangerous if you're getting the injections in an outpatient clinic versus an actual hospital that can take care of you if that happens

If you do have the reaction like that, it's very unlikely they'd continue administering injections as it could happen again and they'd probably be looking at alternative treatments e.g. medication to treat the symptoms

So for me personally, I'm happy to stick to antihistamines & sprays

I think you could get around this by asking people not to ask questions which could compromise someone's account security or privacy - Any questions that did do this, the next person wouldn't have to answer and could instead choose a new question
