James Brian Jacques (pronounced "Jakes"
(born 15 June 1939)[1] is an English author, best known for his Redwall series of novels, as well as the Tribes of Redwall and Castaways of the Flying Dutchman series. He also completed two collections of short stories entitled The Ribbajack & Other Curious Yarns and Seven Strange and Ghostly Tales.
I was using it as a reference for my research paper on personally-favored fiction writers.

Magnetism exists whether electric charges move relative to other
objects or relative to a frame of reference.
\section{Geomagnetism}
The Earth has a core made up of iron heated up to liquid form. As the
Earth rotates, the iron flows in complex ways. This gives rise to a
huge magnetic field, called the \textit{geomagnetic field}. that
surrounds the Earth.
\subsection{Earth's Magnetic Poles and Axis}
The geomgnetic field has poles, just like a bar magnet. These poles
are near the geographic poles. The north geomagnetic pole is located
in northern Canada. The southern pole is in the ocean near the coast
of Antartica. The geomagnetic axis is somewhat tilted relative to the
axis on which Earth rotates. The axis does not run through the center
of the Earth.
\subsection{Solar Wind}
Charged particles from the Sun disort the geomagnetic field. This
\textit{solar wind} ``blows'' the field out of shape. The field is
compressed on the side of the Earth facing the Sun, and the field is
stretched out on the side facing away from the Sun. This also occurs
with other planets' magnetic fields. As Earth rotates, the field does a ``dance'' in the direction facing
away from the Sun.
\subsection{The Magnetic Compass}
The presence of the magnetic field was noticed in ancient times. Lodestone rocks when hung by strings, always orient themselves
in a general north-south direction. This effect was put into use by
seafarers and land explorers. Today, this magnetic compass can still
be used by explorers. The geomacnetic field and the magnetic field around a compass needle interact so that a force is exerted on the magnet.
