Hello everyone!
The awards from January have been posted! If you have any ideas for future contests, don't hesitate to suggest them. I will announce the new contest later this month.
Nice job Makio. Some of your transitions seem to not be aligned quite right, but I'm not sure if that's just due to your browser?
Anyways, let's see what we can do.
¸.¤*ˆ*¤.¸ I recommend not using periods in a transition, and that ¤ is really thick compared to the symbols below it. Try ¸„¤*ˆ*¹›¸
`‹¸
.....‘ ¸ This doesn't curve quite right, try steepening the second line
`-¸
.....`¸
‘¤,¸¸,¤’ again the ¤ is just way too thick. I would only use it next to other thick symbols like ¸¤^* that
¸.•º˜º•.,¸ again I would take out the period and replace it with a space
....¸ •º˜º•.,¸
¸ ’
For your next assignment please make a symmetrical 3-lined signature with your choice of text. Please advanced shade it. Refer to the guide on page 4 for assistance.

Ooooh Dianne I have a fun assignment for you :] Please make a small 2-lined signature with the text "Royal Family" and, if you have the authority to do so, please replace that header on KOV's thread. I don't mean to be rude, but it would mean a lot if you could do that. The header that is currently there was made by an old friend of mine, who ran the previous signature school and taught me nearly everything I know. He did not give permission for it to be used and we asked to have it taken down nearly four years ago, but we weren't successful. If you could do this I would be very grateful.
Before we get to the shading, I really must stress that you should use the ›/‹ in the direction of the wave. For example: instead of `‹,¸¸,›´ it should be `›,¸¸,‹´
Now to the shading. First a tip, if you only have a few periods such as (.....) you don't have to go up to a semi colon like (.:;:.) you can just only go up to a colon ( .:. ) or even just periods ( . . )
Also, remember to use periods now that you are advanced shading!
..::;::.:::;;:::..::;:; I would recommend not going back and forth between light and dark as, well, it doesn't really make any sense.
Think of the shading as the amount of light that permeates the signature, and the border blocks the light. So for example instead of
..::;::.:::;;:::..::;:;` ‹ , ¸ ¸ , › ´;:;;;..:::;;:::.::;::...
try
;;;;:;;:;::::.:... .. . ` ‹ , ¸ ¸ , › ´ . .. ...:.:::;:;;;:;:::.:... .. . ¸‘ . .. ...:
or
;;;;;:;;;:;;:;:::::.::.` ‹ , ¸ ¸ , › ´ . .. ...:.::::;:;;:;;;;¸‘ . .. ...:
You can have there be darkness around the border (second example) or just have the border block the light that comes from the outside of the signature (third example). Of course you could come up with your own way of how to shade, where the light comes from and what not. Note that shading should be mirrored.
Why don't you make another advanced shaded sig, 4 lines this time.
