Unfortunately, the monsters were so large they had a high caloric requirement to maintain their current mass. They began farming all viable land and turned the world into a dust bowl over time. All life perished, they respawned shortly after.

unfortunately, they crash landed on a space station, which already had three very evil creatures living there, that had killed, eaten and wrapped the habitants in a silk like fibre, hanging from the ceiling and walls...
