Merges
Nations are allowed to merge. However there are conditions to such merges.

Only 2 nations are allowed to merge together. You may not get merged nations that are made up of 3 or more players’ countries.

Onto the issue of points.
Say player A and player B decide to merge.
Player A gets 14 points in espionage and has 5 points in space.
Player B gets 12 points in espionage and has 7 points in space.
Under the merge, their combined efforts would result in them having 14 points in espionage and 7 points in space (Rather than 26 points in espionage and 12 points in space).

Merged nations receive 16 points per cycle, with each half of the merge being able to spend 8 of those points.

This is to prevent people steamrolling other players by merging. Merging increases the power of your nation but not by a massive degree.

Glossary:

Hidden from public eye (HFPE)
If you post HFPE, it prevents other players from acting on it ingame.

Project
Any “thing” that either creates, improves or research’s. You must state what the project does at the start or end of the project. However you may post the explanation of the project as HFPE.

Operation
Any deployment of troops-anything considered combat-Wars and special forces fall into this category. Small-scale operations can be explained to a moderator instead of having to be posted on the thread. I.E. say I said that “Operation red star begins”-I could then explain to a moderator what this is (in this case, special forces being deployed to Russia) without having to post it HFPE on the thread. However, large scale operations such as wars cannot be posted just as a codeword and explained to a moderator either ingame or on the nc site.

Out of game (OOG)
This is for discussion about random crap on the thread.
I.e.
OOG: You guys see the game last night?

Mutual defense pact (MDP)
Where two or more countries will agree to help each other if either is attacked by another country.

Non-Aggression pact (NAP)
Where two or more countries will agree not to declare war on each other.

Races
This is a brief description of all races ingame. (P) signifies that they were player created.

Human
No disadvantages and the only advantage they have is a diplomatic boost when talking to human NPC’s.

Denizen
Overview:Genetically modified humans. Amphibious. Advantages: Able to tolerate lower temperatures than humans, just as intelligent as humans, slightly physically stronger than humans. Disadvantages: Human npcs consider them inferior, less dexterous than humans, lower birthrate than humans.

Sentient penguins
Overview: Smart penguins
Advantages: Cold-resistant. Cute.
Disadvantages: Weaker than humans. A lack of thumbs.

Fennites (p)
overview: Genetically enhanced humanoids.
Advantages:stronger resistance to disease and slightly enhanced strength and speed.
Disadvantages: Poor relations with human nations.

Natalians (p)
Overview: Humans with an unnatural ability to adapt to extreme weather and climate conditions)
Advantages: Increased weather tolerance
Disadvantages: Penguins and humans dislike them.

Djinn (p)
Overview: Basically humans, Djinn are extremely well adapted to surviving harsh, heated environments.
Advantages: Extreme tolerance to heat, light, the effects of stars (solar flares, etc.), fire, smoke, etc. More strength than humans in heat.
Disadvantages: Lower birthrate, vulnerable to lower temperatures. Aversion to non-precious metals (They can work with them fine, they're just not as comfortable). Less strength than humans in cold.

Hepheastans (p)
Slightly taller and stronger than humans

Earos (p)
Think hunters from halo

Jawas
Star wars

Wampas
Star wars

Zilwe (p)
Human like species with the ability to survive with lower amounts of food and water for prolonged periods of time, and have an easier time breathing 'dirty' air. Weakness: Large preference for being underground, low birth rate, softer skeleton

Races (Continued)

Fexian (P)
Overview: Harry Potter when he used Gillyweed, only with scales. They have jagged teeth and claws with webbed feet and hands. They are mostly carnivorous.
Advantages: Amphibious. Very fast under water. Stronger than humans underwater. Tough, scaly skin. Slightly higher resistance to disease than humans.
Disadvantages: Very slow above water. Not so strong above water, can barely walk on two feet while above surface. Skin will dry out pretty quickly above water.

Khazrali (Khazral singular)(P):
A humanoid race with a significantly longer life span, but a much lower birth rate, compared to the average human. They also, while willing to cooperate, are prone to struggles due to greed and petty interests. They appear to live by the unwritten code: "If you have a life, make the best of it!"
