If anyone reads this, what is the font used for these forums currently, I want to redo a lot of my old drawings that were destroyed by the font change. I worked too hard for them to just be destroyed forever. If I succeed I will reopen my art gallery that was killed by page 50. It lasted a good 4 years.

If I just make something in Verdana, 13 in notepad/wordpad it will come out properly? Or do I have to go on Microsoft Word to edit the line height and such?

If you make it in Notepad it will look the same, just expect it to be maybe 25% taller. I've resorted to making logos in the reply box just so proportions stay correct.

I'm thinking of making an ascii editor specific to RSOF.

Basic functionality would be easy: a text box with the same font dimensions and colors as the default on RSOF.

From there, other things to consider that I can think of are:

- Adding text decoration (bold, italic, underline, strikethrough, colours)
Would work very differently from the basic text box, not sure exactly how to do it atm but I think I can research how.

- Replicating the unpredictable censorship filter
Don't think it's possible atm.

Additional features I may add:

- Selection box displaying all the valid ascii characters, sorted by categories:
-- wave and height
-- similarity to letters
-- *needs suggestions

- Full selection of colours, sorted by colour/gradient:
-- *not sure at the moment what this will look like.

- Elements of the ascii tutorial
-- *needs suggestions

- Copy-able common objects or templates

- Personal (and maybe public) database of objects, templates and full drawings

- Automatic invisible hyphen-space inserter

That's all I can think of for now, if anyone has ideas for a good ascii editor then post here and I'll see what I can do. I'm no expert so if anyone with expertise in rsof ascii could point out things to consider that would be helpful too.
