Chapter III

Hyro stood up, blood trickled down his face from a cut above his left eyebrow. He was staring at Alexander's limp body. "Twenty-eight."

"Hyro!" Kyle came over to him, blood soaked in all his war-like attire. His muscles were strained, showing he had about used them to the limit. His two-handed long-sword was on his back, charred from battle. "Falador is yours."

Hyro still stared at Alexander's body. "Riku." He looked at the house in front of him. "Kyle, you did good my friend." He walked over to him and patted him on the shoulder. "Come with me."

They both walked into the house, the chaos outside was cut off after the door was closed. The screams and fighting seaped in through the window, but the sound of each step Kyle and Hyro took rebounded through the room. Kyle turned to Hyro. "What are we-"

Hyro put his finger to his lips, looking at the floor. He took a few steps forward and then looked up, seeing a small door. Hyro gripped his sword. "Riku..." The word came out almost inaudible. Kyle took his sword with his right hand and held it ready for anything. Hyro knocked down the ladder and slowly climbed up.

He pushed the door open quickly and looked inside. The darkness replied with complete silence. Hyro gripped his sword tight and closed his eyes.

Outside of the blazing city walls a cloaked woman ran in the shadows with two boys by her side. They all ran, only Riku dared look back at what was once Falador, now a blazing city full of death and ruin. Tears began to flow like a small creek down his cheeks, but now was not the time. They reached a fork in the road and stopped behind some bushes. Raydense sat on a rock, she was panting and sweating. The red moon cast an eerie light that hit her face, revealing a pale and desperate woman.

"Raydense?" A voice was heard. "Psst."

She looked out and saw another cloaked figure. "Here." He came and hugged her. "Shall I take him?"

"...Yes." She began to cry. He grabbed Riku and took him away.

ChapterIV
A Master and Ally

Riku awoke. His vision was blurry as he slowly sat up and rubbed his eyes. He looked around and noticed he was in a small tent. He tried to remember what happened, as soon as he remembered he regretted it. The war of darkness had begun, and it began with blood. "Mom?" He stood up and noticed he only had shorts on. He walked out of the tent into the bright sun.

A fire surrounded by small rocks was cooking an animal of some sort. A forest surrounded the tent and a small river could be heard very close. "Riku, wonderful, you're awake!" A strong guy with short disheveled brown hair and a small beard to match walked up to Riku with a rag wiping his hands.

"Where's my mom?" Riku looked up at him with tears forming in his eyes.

"Now hold on Riku, just wait-"

"Where is she?!" Riku screamed the words with desperation. Tears now falling and landing all over the ground.

"Riku just wait, I can't explain now but the time will come."

"...who... are you?"

"I am Aragorn." He gave a little heroic pose and smiled. "I am your new master young one."

"...I want to go back."

"What?"

"Take me back to Falador."

"Child, that place is gone, in ruin, Hyro destroyed the whole city and-"

"Hyro." Riku whispered the word to himself. "Hyro." He repeated it again. He grit his teeth and clenched both of his fists until they were white. "Hyro." His face turned red and the tears flowed even harder. He closed his eyes, sobbing, and turned up to the bright sky and screamed. He began to cry. He fell to his knees, his emotions pouring out. The whole forest made no sound. The fire cackled to Riku's cry of pain. Riku fell to the ground unconscious, emotionally spent.

Aragorn sighed. He said nothing as he brought the boy back to the tent. He laid him down and walked back out and sat down by the fire. He poked the fire and then set the stick down. He took a deep breath and looked up at the lazy clouds moving slowly. "Saradomin help us all." A tear fell down his cheek.

Hey guys, friendly reminder that tomorrow is our planned meeting on RS.

However, a time has not been set. Now, since my dad's away w/ my lil bro on some cub scout camping thing, it's now more likely for me to get on later.

That being said, we could go back to our original late night timing (10:30pm-1:00am eastern time, I believe it was). I need feedback to make sure that's alright; if feedback is not given, I will most likely assume that it is not ok and cancel the meeting. So Please let me know ASAP.

Thanks

(Btw, Zack you need to change Kyle's weapon to the two-handed long-sword in the first chapter he appears in, which is on thread pg. 6)

ChapterIV
A Master and Ally

Riku began a rigorous training under master Aragorn. Riku and Aragorn became great friends as Aragorn became his father-figure. Days became weeks, weeks became months, months became years, suddenly Riku was a young man. He turned 13, 5 years passed. Stories were made, people came and went, but those are for another book.

A spark flew out as the two steel blades clashed. They both flew into the air and clashed again. Riku jumped back and moved into a defensive stance panting. Aragorn lowered his stance and nodded. "Very well, good job for today black Riku." He smiled.

"Thank you master." Riku lowered his stance and smiled. "Master, when am I going to be strong enough to go against Hyro?"

"Riku, calm down." Aragorn sat on the side of a boulder. "All in due time."

"Master we've been training for so long I'm ready!"

"The fact that you say you're ready proves you're not."

"But Master, the world is dead because of him..."

Aragorn lowered his gaze to the ground. It's true, he thought. This world, it's dieing again, like the old times.

"Master?"

"Go get your bags, we need to continue." Aragorn chuckled and smiled. "We're almost there."

"Why won't you tell me where we're going master, we've been on the road for eight days?" Riku grabbed his bag.

Aragorn didn't reply. He grabbed his bag and started walking on the road. An hour later after a silent walk a huge rocky temple lay in the distance. "Wow." Riku stared in awe at the giant ruins. Aragorn continued walking. They entered a forest and quickly found a grove where a few people were walking around. Riku looked confused.

"Master?"

"Riku, my work is done."

"Master...?"

Aragorn smiled and put his hand on Riku's shoulder. "I loved you like my own son. You really are the one." Aragorn looked at a robed monk and nodded. "He's ready."

"What? No don't, you can't!"

"Riku-"

"NO! I will not lose someone else!" He turned and ran. Aragorn muttered a spell and Riku fell unconscious.

ChapterIV-Hyro
Horrifying Discovery

Hyro sat on a throne in the middle of a vastly decorated room. He sat with his head rested on his fist. Falador was his, the city, after four years, was just a barren ruin. Nobody came in nor went out. Hyro had taken control of the whole area, claiming the land as is. From Falador over the mountains to the deep dark woods of the abyss. He sighed.

"Where is that boy?" Hyro whispered the words to himself. He had spent the past five years trying to find Riku. "The light will overcome the darkness through the small one born in darkness." The prophecy that was told to him countless times. The whole world for some reason repeated the prophecy, nobody understanding the true significance.

"Kyle!" Kyle appeared in a few moments, sweaty from training.

"Yes Hyro?"

"Any word on Riku?"

"Nope, nothing."

"...who am I sending?"

"The Thrash Scouts."

"Kill them all."

"But Hyro, they're amazing, don't just-"

"Kill them!" Hyro stood up. "We're going to find him ourselves."

Kyle turned to a guard and nodded. "You know what to do."

"We're going to Varrock." Kyle nodded. "The travelers there must know something." Hyro paused for a moment. "We're going to have to be quiet about the matter, there's enough people out for my head in Varrock." Hyro stood up. "Grab your things. We leave in fifteen minutes."

"It's a three day walk are you sure?"

"Just get ready Kyle."

They both met at the gates in twenty minutes with black cloaks and hoods covering their heads. They walked out of the gate and headed south-east towards the vast valley and river between the places.

Hyro entered the gates of Varrock a day later with Kyle by his side. "We need a plan."

Kyle smiled. "I have one."

They entered and headed to a giant building near the west entrance. 'Bank' was carved into a wooden sign that hung on the outside of the building. An hour later they walked out. "Interesting." Hyro looked at the bank, now closed. "Very interesting."

Chapter IV - Hyro
Horrifying Discovery

A large crowd stood quarreling outside of the building Hyro and Kyle visited yesterday. Hyro smirked. "Very good Kyle, your plan worked." They were all complaining about the 'Closed' sign hanging on the door.

"How are we going to get our gear?!" One rough looking bystander yelled.

Hyro took off his hood and stood on a boulder on the other side of the street. "People!" He screamed at the top of his lungs. "People!" None of them turned to him. Hyro frowned and he lifted his hand to the ground. A small fireball shot out and hit the ground after he murmured a quick spell. The fireball exploded and all the people turned to him.

"People, we are looking for a young boy by the age of 13. His name is Riku. Anyone know of the boy?" They all looked at each other. "There is a bounty of five million on the boy dead or alive."

"What does he look like?" One plump man shouted out.

Hyro held up a sketch of Riku. They all began talking and made a lot of noise. Many began heading on their way, excited with the new adventure.

The next few days Hyro and Kyle stayed in the town square. Many came to them with children of all different ages and all different sizes. On the third day Hyro began to lose his patience. Many came and ran away wounded from Hyro's blade. The fifth day came and no one arrived.

"Kyle, I hate this filthy city." Hyro frowned. "Lets burn it to the ground."

"-But Hyro-"

"But what?!" Hyro turned and glared at Kyle. "They are filthy rats with lives no better than this rock." Hyro stood up and began walking out of the city. Kyle stood watching him, appalled. "Kyle!" Kyle began following him. They headed out for the castle in the distance past the beautiful valley. In less than a day the valley was flooded with undead warriors, trampling the once lovely ground on a march bent for victory. Hyro walked in the front, his sword out. The city of Varrock loomed in the distance, the walls full of archers, all trembling.
