ChapterIV
A Master and Ally
Riku began a rigorous training under master Aragorn. Riku and Aragorn became great friends as Aragorn became his father-figure. Days became weeks, weeks became months, months became years, suddenly Riku was a young man. He turned 13, 5 years passed. Stories were made, people came and went, but those are for another book.
A spark flew out as the two steel blades clashed. They both flew into the air and clashed again. Riku jumped back and moved into a defensive stance panting. Aragorn lowered his stance and nodded. "Very well, good job for today black Riku." He smiled.
"Thank you master." Riku lowered his stance and smiled. "Master, when am I going to be strong enough to go against Hyro?"
"Riku, calm down." Aragorn sat on the side of a boulder. "All in due time."
"Master we've been training for so long I'm ready!"
"The fact that you say you're ready proves you're not."
"But Master, the world is dead because of him..."
Aragorn lowered his gaze to the ground. It's true, he thought. This world, it's dieing again, like the old times.
"Master?"
"Go get your bags, we need to continue." Aragorn chuckled and smiled. "We're almost there."
"Why won't you tell me where we're going master, we've been on the road for eight days?" Riku grabbed his bag.
Aragorn didn't reply. He grabbed his bag and started walking on the road. An hour later after a silent walk a huge rocky temple lay in the distance. "Wow." Riku stared in awe at the giant ruins. Aragorn continued walking. They entered a forest and quickly found a grove where a few people were walking around. Riku looked confused.
"Master?"
"Riku, my work is done."
"Master...?"
Aragorn smiled and put his hand on Riku's shoulder. "I loved you like my own son. You really are the one." Aragorn looked at a robed monk and nodded. "He's ready."
"What? No don't, you can't!"
"Riku-"
"NO! I will not lose someone else!" He turned and ran. Aragorn muttered a spell and Riku fell unconscious.
