v Katia v, you have one first place entry which is recorded (15 points). Since this was in '07, and ties are resolved by which entries won first, this gives you a high position on the ranking. Note that I only have conclusive data from the previous hall of fame sticky and contests which have taken place since then, so there are definitely a few official contests I have not accounted for.

Cozmic,

Three things here:

1) I was a judge for Innue's *Official* Story Contest. This was the official competition not judged by Jagex Staff.

2) I think that weight should be put on the number of competitors in the contest when adjudicating who places where and when. There is a difference between placing first out of eight and placing first out of eighty, and we should account for that difference in some way.

Furthermore, we should count finalist places for the Trontests, because he did not announce the top three. In this way, Bunni Killer, a prolific competitor and wonderful author, progressed to three finals whereas someone else who may be listed fourth (for sake of neutrality) may have only progressed to one final or none at all. I have lists for several of the Trontests if that information is necessary. I simply think it unfair to penalise the finalists of the early competitions and bestow, therefore, unqualified titles on others simply because they began to compete under the newer model.

3) Can you list the total point value for each ranking user on the first page? I think that would be useful in utilizing the rankings for self improvement and juxtaposition rather than mere superlatives.

I look forward to continued improvements in the Hall of Fame.

PS-- I won the FunOrb competition administered by Mod Craddock. I would appreciate that being accounted for in the rankings.

Fixed. I also added Innue.

"2) I think that weight should be put on the number of competitors in the contest when adjudicating who places where and when. There is a difference between placing first out of eight and placing first out of eighty, and we should account for that difference in some way."

That's a good idea, although I don't have much data on that. Any other opinions?

"Furthermore, we should count finalist places for the Trontests, because he did not announce the top three."

Can you post the list?

"3) Can you list the total point value for each ranking user on the first page? I think that would be useful in utilizing the rankings for self improvement and juxtaposition rather than mere superlatives."

Additional opinions are also welcome on this point.

The funorb community is pretty isolated from the RSB one, so I'm not sure whether this is something that we should recognize. Does anyone else have an opinion on this?

Opinions:

3) This could make things a bit too uber-competitive, but I suppose it's a fair idea.

Postscript (regarding the FunOrb competition): This *is* the "Stories Forum Hall of Fame." While I recognize Yrolg's accomplishment on other sites, the FunOrb competitions do not seem to fit with the theme of this thread.

In all honesty, I don't even think there should be rankings such as 1st, 2nd, or 3rd and so forth, let alone the points next to the names. FunOrb should have its own HOF, unless the contest was about FunOrb on here, they're separate websites and should thus have separate Halls of Fame.
