Reden's emotions mixed as he felt angry, sad, confused, and distraught at the sight of another dead friend. He looked at Selvi, who was leaning against him, and noticed she was crying.
The darkness of the Jewels was beginning to take effect...

"Dang it," Zito muttered as he pulled out junk from the pockets of another slain man.
"This one didn't have one either?" Xiato Inquired.
Tial stared down at the mangled body of the man and said, "Well, he has had one before."
"How can you tell?" Zito asked.
Tial leaned down and picked up the man's wrist. She turned it over and revealed a small circular shape on the back.
"That is the mark of the Jewel," she explained.
Zito was intrigued. He looked at his own wrist and noticed the same engraving beginning to form on the back of it.
"We should continue searching," Xiato said.
Zito nodded and asked, "Which town should we go to next?"
"I feel one," Xiato exclaimed.
Zito turned and asked, "Where is it coming from?"
Xiato closed his eyes and began to concentrate. After a few moments he said, "Reinth."
"That town is a myth," Tial said coldly.
Zito looked at Tial and said, "No, it is real."
"How do you know?" Tial asked.
Xiato smirked and said, "He was born there."

Sinoto sat in his regular chair. Slowly rocking back and forth, thinking to himself. Trey walked into the room and sat down in the corner, as if disappointed.
"Something wrong Trey?" Sinoto asked.
Trey looked up and shook his head saying, "No, I'm frustrated that I cannot locate Reden."
"Ahh," Sinoto said understandingly.
"What happened to the captives Kirth had talked about?" Trey asked.
Sinoto looked confused for a moment before realizing what Trey was talking about. He said, "They escaped." Hags be hagglin', gods be god damn crazy, it's all happening ogre at Into The Fire
