Tial took a step back, ready to turn and run at a moment’s notice. “What do you plan to do to me?” she asked.
Sinoto laughed and replied, “Kill you, obviously.”
“W-What?” Tial stammered.
Trey frowned and said, “You are a disgrace to Sinoto’s name. You must die.”
“Never!” she shouted, turning for the doorway.
Trey looked down at Sinoto and he nodded. Trey pushed the table in front of him out of the way and began to walk out the door.
Tial rushed into the street and turned around in time to see Trey stepping outside as well. “T-Trey… Let’s not get hasty now. I mean, we can take out Sinoto! Together!” she begged.
Trey did not stop his advance; he continued to move menacingly towards the frightened woman. Eventually, he stood right in front of her, looking down.
“W-Why?” she asked, tears forming in the corner of her eyes.
“This is my job,” Trey said, “I will do what I was told.”
With that, he raised his giant axe into the air. Before he could bring it down though, Tial shouted, “I won’t go without a fight!”
Quickly, she drew a dagger and tried to stab Trey in the chest; however, Trey easily stepped to the side and dodged the blade. He lifted his axe again and swung it down.
“But…” Tial stuttered as the giant axe collided with her side.
Trey heard the fierce ‘Crack!’ of the ribs and he watched as Tial sailed several yards away. She did not stand up, but she gasped for breath. Trey walked over and stood over Tial, looking down once more.
Tial smirked and asked, “Is this what Sinoto will do to you?”
“What do you mean?” Trey inquired.
Tial coughed up blood and replied, “When you make a mistake… Will he kill you?”
“If he deems it necessary,” Trey answered.
Tial laughed and said, “You are one stupid-" She was cut off as Trey dropped the giant axe across her midsection, completely separating her into two parts.

Her eyes widened as the enormous blade cut through her intestines and lungs, not to mention smashing through her ribs. Her insides spilled onto the ground and onto Trey’s boots. Blood rushed like a river into the stale dirt – creating a brownish-red mixture. The sound was enough to make anyone vomit. You could hear the blood rushing out of her dying body. An atrocious smell accompanied it, and just like that – Tial was dead, lost due to her own cowardice.
Trey frowned and said, “Another failure…”
After saying this, he turned and walked back to the hideout.

“Why are you doing this?” Reden shrieked, pulling at his hair.
‘Come now,’ the voice began, ‘is the truth really that painful?’
Reden fell to his knees and shouted, “Stop it!”
‘Stop? Oh no, Reden. This will not stop. The truth does not stop for anyone!’
“I said stop it!” Reden shouted, falling completely onto the ground.
‘Reden! Don’t bring yourself down to this level! Listen to me! You can be a great conqueror!’
“No,” Reden sobbed, *it’s not right.”
‘Right?’ the voice screamed. ‘Nothing is right anymore Reden! You must realize this!’
Reden slowly slid his hand into his pocket and pulled out both of the Jewels. Both of them were glowing darkly, and each seemed to possess an evil quality.
‘Put those back!’ the voice commanded.
Reden could not stop himself, he did as the voice commanded.
‘Good…’ the voice said slyly. ‘Now, what have we learned?’
“I must,” Reden stammered, “I must listen to you.”
‘And?’
“I can trust no one but you…”
‘What must you do?’
Reden hesitated before saying, “I must retrieve all of the Jewels…”
‘Good,' the voice said.
“But, what about all of the innocent people who will get hurt?” Reden asked.

‘What?’ the voice shouted angrily. “Were you not an innocent? You were forced into this destiny! Not born with it! The Jewels stop for no mortal! They do not even stop for a God! You must learn this Reden! There is no one you can trust! No one you can believe anymore! They are all liars!’
“But…” Reden stammered.
‘No!’ the voice screamed. ‘No one is your friend! I am the only one you can trust!’
“Yes… of course,” Reden muttered, slowly rising to his feet and still holding his broken fist.
‘You have me,” the voice said slyly, ‘that is all you will ever need.’
