Yeah, the game does this to penalise such activities. You're encouraged to level with friends at your level and take on contents together. You will still get the same amount of xp for completing quests but not the kills xp in quests (which can be quite a lot). Moreover, to make things easier you can pull out a companion... and so can your friend. When you're with companion and engage a normal group of mobs at your level it's quite straightforward and you're not really in danger of dying unless you try to take on two or three groups of mobs your level at any one time or attack a group of mobs when you're on 30% health or something like that. There was little 'saving' to be done in content your level. However, if you're taking on stuff 6 levels higher than you and you're barely hitting anything, that's when a max level character would help.
Well, let's see. We are inherently 'good' people and therefore we play republic characters. We do have level 29 Sith Sorcerers though, and so far we were able to take on Heroic 4 quests (Designed for 4 people) with just us two and companions. Our pairing seems quite a deadly one comparing to our other pairings. Dunno why. Maybe because we have two ccs and our relative experience in playing a ranged character. Strangely enough I usually make lightside decisions on my Sith Inquisitor but my sister makes the darkside ones so some interesting conflicts to happen.

Just read yet another one of your stories.
Captivating as usual, but I must ask: why stories about 'man-lovers'?
Is there a certain reason as to why you write these stories?
EDIT: 'Intention' ^ :P I'm just simply curious; that's all.

Why, as always, is one of the most difficult questions for me to answer.
For me as a writer, 'man-lover' stories generally gives the story background a lot more conflict than a conventional one would. Yes, we all have Romeo and Juliet archetypes but we've had about one thousand reproductions of that ever since its conception. By altering this and giving it central issues (such as man-lovers) that are more relevant to today, I aim to give the whole story a fresher feeling as though it hasn't been read before.
Even more than that, while I think this is more interesting to write, the central issue has always been what I want to say and whether it has been said before. This 'man-lovers' story element is a way for me to differentiate my story and talks about issues that matter to me.
Hope that answers your question :)

Ah I guess that makes sense. So it's better to team up with noobs, at first, than high levels? I guess if I get lucky enough I might join (Probably won't be soon >.&gt ;) at the same time as someone I know!
Good people? XD Good people like Sith too! Although I do understand what you mean... >.> I hate rager gamers. (Just made that term up). Wow, that seems pretty good! You one companion each right? Haha! Way to go sister of English! Although I don't like making dark side decisions (Goes against my real character) I just might to get more lightning power!
Hum... It seems the same question ensues after the reading of this story.

Well, maybe not noobs, but someone of your similar level certainly. That could even mean the level 50 character can start a new toon...
But yeah, it's more fun to play with someone you know. Instant voice-communication platforms also helps so you don't have to type if something of an emergency happens.
Nooo, only bad people like Sith! We are the good guys!
Yeah, we each draw out a tank companion to absorb damage because Sorcerers are squishy. My sister would do all out damage while I heal everyone and keep them alive. Choosing dark side won't get you more dark side powers... ability is exactly the same.
My sister's RS name is Evilgirl1049. I had thought of making Evilboy1050 on Swtor but since numbers are not allowed, we settle for Evilgirl and Evilboy :P . We also have roughly the same armour.
Yes, I get that question a lot :P . I'm a pro at answering them now.

Well a noob is a newbie, which is someone who it just beginning, which you be my situation if I were to start playing. Which would mean I would be a noob, which would mean, I would need to either go Han (Solo... haha) or team up with noobs. =P
I bet it is! Most games aren't fun alone once you're done with the main storyline or campaign. Multiplayer is where games stay alive for more than three months. At least in my opinion, it's also the best place to further your skill level. The AI is rarely really challenging, unless you're talking about CIV in which case, it's immortal.
I'm a good person! And I like the Sith! XD
Dark and good decision don't affect your abilities?! What do they affect then?! You're storyline? The equipment you get?
Evilboy... That's weird I thought that I had seen your name as Englishkid when I added you before they kicked non-players off of the chats.
XD I bet you are!

Actually, a noob isn't the same as a newb. A newb is a newbie, a new player to the game. A noob is basically an annoying idiot. While a newb can often be a noob they are not essentially the same. You can be a newb and not be a noob and vice versa.
In Swtor's case, it's always more fun to team up practically all the time :)
Noo, if you're a good person you have to play republic characters!
Dark and light side choices affect the some of the gear that will be available to you. But those won't be end-game epic gears. Dark siders may have 'facial corruption' option and upon reaching rank 5 of either side you unlock an ability for your legacy. Light side one is to reduce damage to you and your companion for a short time and Dark side one is to injure your companion to the point of death to restore your health. Aside from that, they don't really make any difference.
That's my forum name. It is different to whichever character I can create in game. I can create up to 8 characters in game and I was never bound by the name I created for forums. So it is possible for me to have a Sith Sorcerer toon named Evilboy while my forum name is still Englishkid.

Thread, thanks for your time to read :)

Ah I did not know that. So can a high level be a noob if he's arrogant and annoying?
Team play ftw!
Good people choose whatever side they want! XD Can you beat a mission that requires 4 people with only you and your sister with the good guys?
Ah, that's reassuring. Then my first character will be a good sith! Then I'll either make a bad Sith, a bounty hunter, or a Jedi so I can play alongside you =P
Makes sense. Can each of the 8 characters have a different name?

Yes, there are level 126 noobs in this game and we all know it.
I suppose we could. But we play our Sith characters after levelling two characters to level 50 thus we have quite a lot of combat experience. And we had been through end-game operations and hard mode flashpoints that really sharpen our minds. So with the experience, yes. We're still 2-manning Heroic 4s on our Republic characters and I also sometimes solo the Heroic 2+ quests.
They will have a different name. You cannot take a name that's already been used on that server.
