Hey English, it's been a while. A few years to be precise :s but I'm back, at least for a while.
But yeah, I never told you now happy I was to find this story years ago, and how much it affected me. Before this I'd never seen a positive representation of *** people, growing up in quite an anti-*** home, and seeing this story as a young confused guy spoke to something deep inside me. For the first time I'd seem people like me portrayed as normal and loving, and I felt so much less alone. 3 or so years on I'm much more confident with who I am and I'd like to think that this story really put me on a path to acceptance of myself.

Thank you, thank you so much

Sorry for the essay, bit of an outpouring I know xD but felt you'd like to know this :)

Also: wow, *** is filtered :/ well you can probably guess what the word is...

Only thing I'd change is that the reader didn't ( At least I didn't ) get a good connection with Edward whilst in prison. His imprisonment spanned over 5 years but it only felt a few days in how you described it. Maybe putting more detail into that would make us have a better sense of how Edward becomes who he is whilst in there.

Besides that, it was an amazing story and I do confess, I shed a few tears.

:O Seems I have been neglecting this too much.

Hey Chuk! Long time no see :) . Hope all goes well with your studies**** Stories Forum was where I began as a writer and I'll always look back here fondly :)

Ruben, I'll send you another e mail to confirm it was me :P

Song book, hello! Thank you for taking the time to read my story!. I'm not sure what drew you here but thanks :) . I'm glad you liked the story. I think when I was designing the story I decided against prolonging the prison bits as it doesn't drive the plot or action forward (after all, Edward and any of the main characters aren't going anywhere) so I guess I'd do it symbolically instead :P . Feel absolutely free to show this to anyone who you think might enjoy it. As long as they know it's originally from here and no one else is claiming to have written this story I'm happy :) .

James, long time no see! Oh my God, I'm soooo glad you stopped by and told me all these wonderful things. I'm deeply touched and honoured as an author to have penned something so profound for you from this forum. Of course, I never would have guessed, but it makes me feel that writing this story was worth it and had meaning, you know? I may not have done many good things in life, but this was one of them! Thank you for your kind words. I hope your family situation (and your own) has improved from what you have described. And if you need someone to talk to about anything I'm happy to listen :) . Oh, and in case you haven't discovered there are places on the internet full of our kind of fiction :P .

Things are the same on the family front but I'm out to my friends and they've all been great :) off to uni soon so that'll be a lot more freedom as well.

Thanks, kind of you to offer :)

Aha yup, pleasantly surprised by the internet :P

How've you been these past few years?

I've had much sympathy for this story.. I can strongly relate to Ronny and his misfortune.. Especially with how he was feeling as a child :| The consequences we don't always consider.. It has brought up very good questions about myself and the world. I wish everyone would read and learn from stories like this one so that we can actually do something about the problems in society. Thanks for sharing with us your writing. You have good intentions as a writer and human being ^_^

Hm, haven’t been here in a while. Noticing it, I suppose I should stop by and say hi. As a reminder, I’m that violinist who reviewed your two stories, we then had a discussion about musical competitions.

It’s very nice to see that this story is still being read, and that it did indeed leave a gentle scar on those who read it. It is always a great feeling when people are motivated for the better when influenced by literature. As for my own stories, well, they certainly won’t be an influence for any of that, I don’t think torture, infanticide, cannibalism and mass slaughter depicted in detail is any motivation for goodness.

As for other places like this, I’d recommend Wattpad, I also have an account on there, too, the same username as mine here.

But, back to why I’m here, you know English, I wondered if you had any plans on future work around these parts, or maybe you have done newer literature elsewhere? If so, I’d like to know where, but if not, then I won’t be in your way.

That’s all for now, until next time.
