Well, I was only there for a couple days, but I went to the Arlington National Cemetery, which was a very sad sight to see because there was just a blanket of headstones from WWI - Vietnam. I also went to the Smithsonian American History and Natural History Museums which was actually very fun. The last thing I did was the Holocaust Memorial Museum which was very gruesome and depressing; I remember seeing a teenage girl (at the beginning of the main attraction) cowarding in a corner and balling her eyes out...yea...the museum is that bad...in fact, they said it was for ages 11 and up, I think it should have been for 17 and up.

was it that bad? I've seen in inside of actual concentration camps (not reconstuctions, most are just ruins) and to be honest they just look like a really creepy summercamps. suppose that knowing what happened there is the scariest bit, not the buildings themselves. also, the monuments at those places are usually really pretty, yet still rather creepy.
I remember seeing a really cool one which wasn't creepy at all, if it wasn't for the fact that all those lil stones represented a dead person.

anyways, I'd rather visit something else if I ever visit america. because that doesn't really sound like fun at all.
I'd rather visit a non war related exhibit. like stuffed (dead not toy) animals and stuff, I hear they have a huge collection of rare insects. which I wouldn't mind seeing ^_^
