Well, the name is a pretty well fitted example of what I wish this thread to be all about.

This is an area where all players can post poems about what they feel about Runescape, what they did, etc etc.

There are only a couple of rules to the thread as you see
1. Never speak negatively about another persons poem. Remember it is THEIR individual thought of the game, not yours.
2. Keep a limit to how much you post a day. I know if you even post on this that you are probably a fan of poetry, but please contain that art.
3. Have fun. The whole point to this is to write the poetry in a fun environment, and get positive feed back about it.

I believe this will be a way for players to observe, and possibly learn from one another, and possibly enhance your playing experience. I know sometimes out of my 10 years of playing Runescape, that I wish I could express my experiences with the game for people to see, so I made just that, enjoy!

07'

07', Tutorial, fish, cook, mine, chop, repeat.
Feeling fresh again we make our walks down the road.
Thinking back to when we were truly fresh in this zone.
Simple things, and simple skills.
We all race to pay these bills.
No Grand Exchange, no load stones you see.
Just simple, odd simplicity.
Graphics to laugh at, and memories to share.
Thank Saradomin.
It's finally here.

-Oh dear, you are dead!-
Oh dear, you are dead!
Death it seems has induced dread.
3 Best items are your worst.
Might as well lose them all, it wouldn't hurt
You're in a hole, and down an out
Millions lost, and nothing has worth.
Time to hang your head, and cry.
Why is it so painful to die?

It's probably dorky... but I have always been a fan of haikus and I often write them in my head while doing things. So I have a lot of internal haikus about kind of random things - which means lots of haikus about my time in Gielinor. Some about the world, some of lore and history, some around activities... I will only share a view as to not bog this thread down immediately with my ridiculousness.

Skilling is my life
Questing the air that I breathe
The lore is my love

Jas, Ful, Wen, and Bix
Gielinor is part of a tapestry
Each action a thread

Oh, see Gielinor
The Gielinor Guthix saw
The untouched beauty

How'd Gielinor be
If Guthix's wish had come true
A realm without gods

... I have a bunch more about the world itself. But also about the things that I do.

View from Catherby
Lovely island Karamja
Tree villages of Gnomes

Fishing anywhere
See beauty in the water
Fishing everywhere
The
Grey

Ravenclaw

Quester, roleplayer, skiller, vet. player on a newer account.

Ashy very very nice :)

Hello all :)
Its nice to see this thread
I am not a poet nor probably ever will be, but I found myself writing one on Gielinor so here goes.....

The Battle Rages On

The battle rages on,
Pray for a triumphant song.
Goblins to Vorago and Nex angel of death,
Creating havoc in beloved Gielinor
Hoping to crush its very life breath.
Is there hope that man will survive?
Where are the champions that will stand by our side?
What gods will aid? Saradomin, Guthix, Bandos, Armadyl?
Or is this a darkened futile divine less war uphill?
Nay, faith is strong, courage runs deep
Even if we end in eternal sleep.
We will fight with swords and staffs and bows
Until Gielinor is rid of its endless foes.
Take up your arms my brave brave friend,
Stand with me and fight till the victorious end.

I had fun writing it, I hope you enjoyed it

Respectfully

Misty

Heya, nice poems so far, here's mine I've been working on, this is part 1 of 4.

This is a tale still yet fully told.
Where in this great land, mysteries are left unsolved.
Now take a deep breath and witness what's in store
Because this fellow adventurer, is the land of Gielinor.

My story begins on a small island, which now lays under the sea.
This is where I learned all the basics, my favorite involved cutting a tree.
I learned how to fight and even cast a spell
Ready to take on the world, I said my farewell.

I arrive at Lumbridge, where a great castle stands
I couldn't wait see more traveling these lands
I ran far and wide, and even crossed a sea
As I fell in love with with a new home for you, and me

Along my adventures I was given many quests
I traveled on a boat, specializing in controlling pests
One of my quests involved finding a cat.
I spoke to a wise man about his blue hat.

With all my adventuring I was still left unfulfilled
That was, until I was told of the champions guild
I knocked on the door. Once, twice, thrice
He ordered me to kill a dragon, who apparently isn't very nice

I found the map and gathered a crew
We set sail with Crandor just in view
I found the dragon and prepared to fight
Knowing full well I'll be giving her all my might

I step over the rocks with Elvarg just in sight
She came running up and gave me quite the bite
Telling myself not to worry, I stocked up on cake and bread
And the next thing I remember was "Oh dear, you are dead"
