~~C0smic's Doodle~~
(continued)
Suddenly he was knocked off his feet as the earth began to tremor. The shelves rattled, glass fell to the floor. The aged store owner attempted to get to his feet, but the brown apron he wore got caught and he fell to the ground again. He was now on all fours attempting to work his way to the door, but as the earth’s
convolutions continued. He was knocked forwards. He lay on the floor for a moment, his grey beard was soaked in blood, his face was covered by jam, jelly, and bits of broken glass.
He opened his eyes. The sudden outburst had ceased like a child lulled to sleep after a vicious tantrum. All was quiet, too quiet. He got up and made his way to the door, he opened it, the disturbance enough to knock down a picture of his father from the wall which had been hanging loosely for some days now. He stepped out into the square, the bustle had ceased, all the townsmen gazed silently at the center of the square.
A cold and vicious purr came from the center of the fountain, a small black animal stood there silently, menacingly. The creature stretched out its long, agile body, it’s whiskers protruding evilly from it’s face. The creature said in a soft and honey-sweet purr, “Before I will consider sparring your *purr* lives... I would like each and every one of you to get me a *purr* fish and a bowl of milk!” It gave a cold, threatening smile then sat down expectantly.
For a moment the gathered civilians stood in both shock and disbelief. The cat continued, “Well, hurry up!” Suddenly the crowd turned into a panicked mob, men rushed back to their houses to get the requested items, young children went to their favorite hiding places to cry, everyone was filled with fear. The only one who didn't move was a young boy of around 12, he stood there, petrified.
