The Assassin cursed, and threw his bow down. He was now completely unarmed, yet he had been in worse situations before.
He ran forward, anticipating Scyne's next attack- a desperate yet deadly swing of his halberd. The Assassin managed to dive under it, and grab the longsword that had been launched earlier. Now, he jumped to his feet and swung toward the halberd.
Scyne swung, at the same time, full force toward the longsword. The two weapons met each other with great force, yet neither budged from the meeting point. The two kept pushing themselves harder, trying to get the other's weapon to lose ground.
Scyne began shaking, letting the full of his strength out, attempting to move the longsword. The assassin kept his cool, and slowly started gaining ground: the halberd slowly fell toward Scyne's face.
Now, Scyne became desperate. He let the halberd fall, and quickly fell to the ground himself. He arced his foot around, tripping the Assassin. The assassin hit the ground sharply on his back. Adrenaline drowning out the pain, he slased his sword toward Scyne, who lay on the ground across from him.
Scyne rolled further away, allowing the longsword to meet the cement ground.
The assassin rolled in the same direction, and swung again. This time, Scyne used the center of the halberd to deflect the attack, then grabbed the blade of the longsword with his hand, allowing his hand to bleed profusely.
He carefully twisted the longsword, and eventually was able to free it from the assassin's grasp. He tossed it aside and stood up. He held his hand toward the assassin, and a white beam began to form... There was a shout of agony, then silence.
