WOW! Zenma, I would easily give you a 10/5 20/10 1000/100 whatever! This is the best story i've ever read! I think even now, you could give Homer (The author of "Iliad", and "The Odyssey" along with other famous books) a run for his money! Really, really great story. Love it!

Chapter 4: The Conspiracy

Jay and Undershadow strode through the market of Varrock, then turned toward the castle. Standing off to one side in the courtyard plaza was Matt Timmins.
Jay waved to him. "Hey Matt."
Timmins squinted his eyes. "Who's the other guy?"
Jay hesitated. "Uh... Look, Matt, we've got a lot to talk about."
Timmins eyed Undershadow carefully. "What?"
Jay and Undershadow stopped a few feet from Timmins.
"I'll try to be as brief as possible..." With that, Jay went on to explain their meeting with Atery(carefully remembering to leave out his name), and the story they were told. He explained his fight with the man in the wilderness, then of the mysterious note, supposedly left by Scyne.
Timmins sighed. "Jay, they're getting to your head. You know that they are the enemy. We've all known that from Day 1."
Now, Undershadow protested. "You don't understand. The Leader we follow is pure of heart. He wants the infection to..."
Timmins cut him off, "To destroy the game? Again? It's not going to happen. Jay, you need a break before they brainwash you any further."
Jay shook his head. "Matt, just answer me this, do you have the program on you?"
Timmins shrugged. "Maybe I do, maybe I don't."
"Matt, if you don't give us the program, something horrible could happen."
"Then so be it."
Matt turned to walk away. Jay lunged forward, put Timmins in a chokehold, then put his sword around to his neck. "I'm sorry it's come to this."
Timmins grabbed the sword's blade, allowing it to dig deep into his hands, then used it, with his upper body strength, to throw Jay over his head.
Jay was tossed several feet in front of Timmins. He regained his balance, and noticed the blood from Timmins' hands dripping down his sword. "Matt, please, I don't want to fight you. We need the infection."
Timmins drew his Great Axe. "Over my dead body."
Undershadow chimed in, "It can be arranged."

As Timmins carefully eyed his two opponents, he made a quick remark at Jay, "There's a thin line between undercover and actually becoming one of them. You crossed that line, Jay."
Jay glared at Timmins. "Who crossed the line, Matt? You have a potentially deadly program on you. We're trying to get rid of it..."
"Don't give me that, Jay."
Jay put his sword down, and gave a slight nod to Undershadow. Undershadow got the message.
Jay continued, "Please, Matt. You can come with us, but we need to go over John's head on this one. Virtue Co. has no idea what is going on."
Timmins turned toward Jay completely now, evidently forgetting about the second man. "Have you completely lost it? You're telling me to give the infection over to a bunch of hackers over a Virtue Co. employee?"
Jay shrugged. "Yeah, yeah I am."
Timmins sighed. "In that case, Jay, I'm going to have to temporarily ban your account, until we can sort through thi..."
He was never able to finish his sentence. Undershadow stabbed Timmins' neck with surprising ferociousness. As he pulled his dagger out, he saw a pile of Timmins' items materializing. Among them was a box of Green Glowng Vials. Undershadow retrieved the box.
Jay watched as the corpse of Matt Timmins faded away, and he knew instantly that he was going to need to find a way to protect himself from being banned.
Undershadow laughed a bit. "We seem to be making friends everywhere we go, hmm?"
Jay sighed, failing to find any humor in the situation.

Scyne and the red-cloaked man stood facing each other for a second time.
"Have you found his name, Scyne?"
Scyne shook his head. "No, but I have an informant that may be very close. Might I ask, though, what you would do with his name?"
The man eyed Scyne cooly. "I would ruin him."

Moments later...

Scyne exited the abandoned falador mansion. A man named Jeht shut the door behind him, apparently making his way to the red-cloaked man for a meeting.
Scyne looked both ways, making sure the streets were empty, then removed a single, sealed, chest from his inventory. It contained the real infection. He had decided to give a fake program to Matt Timmins in order to further break the bonds within the Investigative Team.
However, one problem still remained: he needed the name of the Golden Blades' leader. Then, and only then, could he possibly obtain the pass word.

Matt Timmins tried to ban Jay again, but recieved the same error message : User Does Not Exist. Someone had helped Jay achieve immunity, as had been done during the PK incident.
Then, Matt Timmins noticed John, the Virtue Co. rep, was online. He quickly messaged him, and explained the situation.
John replied, "This program... you say you lost it to Jay?"
"Yes. He's helping the hackers now, they did quite a number on him."
John contemplated the situation. "For now, the best move we can make is to wait. We must let Jay and the hackers believe they are safe, the pounce on them when they come out of hiding. From now on, Timmins, I will accompany you on assignments to assure success."
Timmins grinned to himself. He was well on his way to being the number one Mod.

Atery stared at the vials. He tried to open one, but recieved the error message : Pass Word required.
He tried every obvious pass word, from Zert down to the original one decided upon by 007ki and himself.
He sighed in frustration.
"Well, here's the situation as of now: We are being chased by moderators, and assassins. We have a program that they both want, and as of now no one knows the pass word."
Jay nodded. "what's the next move?"
Atery grinned. "We get the pass word."
