Faltering outward a sigh
Shedding of a tear
Peril lingers now nigh


Having quarrelled with living
O’er a pitiful glance
One now last concerns
With two quavering hands

Cardinal death sapping a soul
Trickling upon eternal nothing, forevermore

Sanctuary


The skies may sully and wither in decay,
while distant sward afar diminishes in disarray.
A yellow wood doth burn and birds of the forest flutter in dismay—
ere seclusion of the realm be plighted through passive mortal affray.

The vales thither ventured, flourishing perdition unbeknown,
shadowed lands of old shrouding counseled woe foretold.
A reigning darkness and misted despair ever woven,
among an ancient wood presently tarnished anew.

Lo! An undecided resolve pales and internal desperation prevails,
conceding treason and receding beyond discontented reason.
A renunciation avails therein permeating betrayal—
tranquility attained, amid melancholy embraced yet unexplained.


The unblemished fells traversed within seclusion intimately held,
splendored streams cascading below precipice without heed.
An endowed melody bequeathed, vanquishing possessed inept—
though futility is banished yore, it must be hidden evermore.

The Winter Arising


Winter approaches
Gathering tempest ensues
Death promptly wanders strewn


Solitary winds doth blow
Through frosted wood unbeknown
Skies conceding woe


Withered vale yields
Deathly pallor befalling fields
Despair without hope


Blossoms shall flourish
Impertinent cold hath subsided
Vigour of spring nigh!
