Inferi (page 895)
I attempted to merge everything thus far to incorporate all content possible in one go, maybe it was a bad idea. I did not respond to Annie solely, the situation I think is just about the same, or did my posts interfere with what you already typed or planned? But, I will slow down if I must. Since you tend to post up to four posts, you definitely need more time to get those posts done, I should have noticed that sooner.
But yeah, for the users involved, be sure to post comments like Inferi did whenever you feel like it. Next time, I will type out what I would like to, and then wait, wait for others to post first, and then merge and edit what I typed out afterwards.
Annie (page 896)
It seems Ironwolf lunged at Annie's chest, she dodged the attack, and was hit in the hip, however that happened. But you mean the blade struck her on the lower part of the breastplate. The blunt force trauma would cause the breastplate to shuffle backwards and possibly hurl Annie off her feet. Presumably, the blade did not pierce the armour, which could happen as Ironwolf is tired and slow-moving.
But no, Annie won't be killing Ironwolf with projectiles alone. Fire does not kill quickly, people burn to death over the course of a few minutes, and projectiles often did not kill as well. Historically, people have been shot up to several times and still fight the battle (modern firearms are a different story of course!). Projectiles such as arrows, bolts, javelins, or maces or axes thrown during battle, usually did not kill, only injure, incapacitate, or break armour or shields, allowing handheld weapons to finish the job. During the crusader era, Muslim sources even mention crusaders with five to ten arrows in their bodies, yet the crusaders remain firm and solid in their formation!
Good night Angel, sleep like an angel.
