The most likely scenario for her ending up in the grasp of the March is that she will die. Given that you seem to be vehemently against that, I'd suggest not trying to make it happen.
While the activity has definitely declined, I'd almost say that some aspects of the forum have actually gotten better. The problem with having a lot of people is that groups of elitists always form, and I know that a lot of people were driven away by that. Don't get me wrong, I don't think the forum is in better shape now because it most certainly is not, but it is pleasant to have pretty much everyone getting along well.
Real-life stuff probably is the main cause of people leaving, though I think it's also just developing a lack of interest with the passage of time. It's somewhat disappointing, but I guess it's to be expected.
Still, everything happening at once most certainly would distort our sense of scope. Infrequent posts in the last few years definitely make it seem like less time is passing than when we had to post multiple times a day.
