Honestly, the Inquisition probably won't have that strong a force on the southern continent. It will be a few hundred men starting out, with supplies and reinforcements shipped in from the north. They will need to learn the local language, establish a friendly relationship with the local tribes, and build their numbers up to create a force large enough to hunt demons. Beneath the gold, the Bitter Steel.

West,
You are welcome to go through those phases however you want, but I'd suggest going through them one at a time, unless you prefer Gwen to defend Luther's warehouse, or disobey him in some manner. If you'd like me to RP with you as a character or villain, or implement subplots/sidequests, I can do that to, but I thought it was coolest to just let individual users do the opening quests however they wanted to? Alternatively, I can RP as Luther and his caravan, whereas you RP as Gwen and just tag along, or maybe you have any other ideas?

I suppose it depends on how long Gwen's journey will need to take in real life - do we want her there relatively quickly through a series of flash fictions so she's ready for Glenn, or do we have the time, need and energy to one-on-one things like fights or character interaction?

I was thinking about taking the former option by writing objective #1, then leaving the ending open for you to add additional complications for #2 if needed - ie, another of the Roman Auxiliaries may be in pursuit, or maybe Luther may want to leak an interesting topic that night - or maybe nothing interesting happened so Gwen would continue her journey).

I guess the format I had in mind would be similar to that of how I wrote my intro - through, I'm it will be shorter. And hopefully have less information left out. If we're lucky, it might even make sense. ;)

Of course, if you have a third option, I'd be willing to take it.

EDIT: Thinking about this stuff makes my head hurt. O_o

Annie, all heroes eventually embark on the main storyline, but every character will have a unique opening quest; afterwards, all bios embark on the main storyline which ever continent they're at. The Demon God will be fought with everyone together. I want to tie the users to the RP, allowing them to have freedom in their character's subplot into the world to connect to the RP's storyline.

West, Glenn will finish within three weeks, whereas Gwen's trip to the sultanate will be a month, so yes, there is time for character interaction. I think your plan works: you do the first phase however you wish, and then we'll RP together as it finishes, and then I'll unfold phase 2.

For simplicity, upon ending each phase, users can finish the last post explaining what they'd like me to do, similarly to how I imposed scenarios. Maybe the opening quests having a long-term setting wasn't a good idea?

Peeps be talking about me, summoning me to the realm of mortals yet again, not even filling out the prequisite paperwork...gawd you guys.

I imagine, if anyone's in a hurry to interact, Gwen's journey could take her past the tower, or have them cross paths towards similar destinations. Hell, make things interesting; have Gwen's contact be one of Glenn's targets, that'll be a fun battle!

For now, I gotta figure out what to do with creepy ghost lady. Always with the mysterious humming and the eating your very soul and the asking for money, those ghost ladies.

I don't think this is the case - my ideas probably stem more from a case of me trying to be a snowflake (like everyone else on the forum). Setting the quest out in advance gives me an idea of how the character feels the quest should play out - with the between sections allowing you to potentially rewrite and develop the quest.
