I know it’s quiet at the moment, but I think I’ve found a good foundation for a Runescape themed roleplay. I know these aren’t always popular, but I haven’t seen my idea done before - so I might as well give it a try.

Firstly, I don’t know if Runescape Elves can mate with Humans. I also do not want to rule 34 my childhood hobby (in public), so please don’t ask.

Set some time after the “Dimension of Disaster” quest, the world remains in shambles. No race, species or creed left the fifth age without major strife – leading to the complete collapse of civilisation and near extinction of almost every sentient race on Gielinor. The great Human kingdoms have fallen, and the old roads are once again frequented by cutthroats, nomads and travellers too fearful to settle.

… And, that’s where we come in.

One day, a new branch of Humanity flooded out from the World Gate, having bought with them strange technologies, ordinance and corporate interests. Quickly intent on controlling the Rune Essence and studying “godly energies”, we quickly began drawing and policing supply lines, upholding ruthless policies towards anyone or anything willing to hinder our plans.

The roleplay would be more or less about how post-modern humans (from Earth) would do when pitted against the perils of a post-apocalyptic Runescape. The setting would allow for a degree of diversity and creativity, and I'm hoping that one would not need to know much lore before joining in.

Would anybody be interested in roleplaying to this setting?

I'll roleplay as a corrupt businessman who quickly takes control of all merchant clans and seeks to consolidate his power by holding influence over the Grand Exchange, merchant fleets, and trade routes. All banks will be plastered with advertising, trimmed armor will bear his corporate logo, and rival business factions will be eliminated by hiring armies of adventurers and mercenaries with gold, party hats, membership cards, and Torva sets. Ramsay Bolton is the king we deserve.
