Also Inferi, I added to the description of your character that SO*A is a female voiced AI, and that She is now installed aboard the Edgewalker, as space pirates found that ship and took her off, figured out that she was an AI and seeing the value of said AI, took her aboard and gave her the body of a massive heavy mec* to start with. If that is okay with you. Just note that everyone is watching you, even the ship AI aboard. In response to the universe that I have in mind, people will never fully trust you.

Seeing as you can infect other mechs with your AI-ness I have to limit how many mechs you can install yourself in at any one time. I am thinking that the rule that I made with Nin Waalan in TLK works fine. Which was that I could only control five characters at one time, otherwise it gets over-powered.

Why make this rule? I don't want another universe where AI's try to destroy all life as we know it. It is too cliché in Sci-fi. It has been used over and over again in books and movies. (i Robot for example which was both a book and a movie.) This is really the only rule I have.
Just your friendly neighborhood gay boy! =)

And games. Let us not forget the MANY hostile synth takeovers from the Mass Effect universe. Plus the Human military in Halo is governed by crapshoot AI's, if I'm not mistaken...

No no no no no no I don't want a mech. I don't want a heavy mech at all. As I've mentioned, mechs suck. I made the small, spherical robotic form because I want that to be SOAA's default body. Taking over mechanized units at points in time is fine, but that makes such a being much weaker when the small form is nearly impervious to all forms of manipulation and can evade damage much more easily than something that everyone can hit if they just throw a grenade in its general direction.

Besides, I'm not making some overlord here. Hacking and disruption? Sure. However, I'm not going to control an army unless it's entirely relevant and should be happening. That's not something I want to be doing.
Done in by the dubious doings of destiny.

If you can infect other mechs, doesn't that just give you a massive advantage over the human characters who are confined to only one mec*, which is also vulnerable to being infected?

Which is why that rule that SOAA can only infect five mechs at any one time is in effect. Otherwise she will get ridiculously **. Nin Waalan is governed by this rule, since he has an army of undead at his command, and it has worked well.

My point is that five mechs is a significantly larger number than one, which is what most human players will have control of. And their mech alone may also be vulnerable to control.

The thing about Nin, is that there is a substantial difference between a walking corpse and a high powered mec* suit. Also, he has to kill his targets before he can take control of them.

...***** it, I'm just going to play as an R2D2-style droid and hope for the best.

Anyways, I'm currently thinking of locations for you and Annie in my thread. I have some great ones in mind already, but I would prefer to save them.
