I thought there would be one already, player run or otherwise. Feels a bit late to do one now.
I think most of the contests here were run by Cosmic, and he seems to have disappeared from these forums. (of course, before that the JMods were involved, but y'know, it is what it is.) We could always run one, though. I think there is enough story forumers floating around that they can help run it efficiently, and we could always try getting in touch with Kalaya or another member of Community Management to see if they'd be interested in lending a hand.

This is the Story and Roleplay Chat Thread, here you can talk about your stories, and if you are up to it, your roleplays. ( a lot of people think that roleplaying is nerdy, but they are wrong) But if you just want to chat, then that is totally fine as well, we look after our own. Glad to meet a fellow RS Forum Poster, I used to play in-game, back in 2008-2011, but I just post on the forums, now. With the time gap, and everything,since then, and with the introduction of EOC, and all the changes, I just feel overwhelmingly lost, so I just post on the Forums. anyway, it's good to meet you. That depends entirely on what you want to do!
This forum is for stories and roleplays. So you can write a story, (and put up a bit at a time- no one's expecting you to immediately post a full novel!) short story, poem, etc., and other people will read it and offer feedback, tell you what they liked about it and give you advice on any areas you might improve.
Or you can join (or make) a roleplay, which is like a story written by multiple people. The person who creates the roleplay, (the thread owner,) chooses where the roleplay takes place, what the culture is like, if there's magic or guns or anything like that, and what the main struggle of the roleplay is. Then other people create their own characters and add them to the roleplay, they get to control their chosen character and together try and work through the problems within the roleplay.
You don't have to write stories or roleplays about Runescape, they can be about anything! But of course, Runescape-related stories and roleplays are just as accepted. You're not allowed to make them about other franchises though, (like Lord of the Rings or Star Wars,) because that breaks copyright laws. If you're not sure, feel free to ask me any follow-up questions or anyone else who happens to come on here, we're generally a friendly bunch.

I'd be careful about who I'd tell this too.
