I'm a few shifts done at Camp 7 of Burns Lake, where I was transferred too. Rather large work camp, consists of perhaps forty interconnected metal trailers, holds I think about a thousand or more workers. I heard there's a gym but I haven't seen it yet, I think it's in the lounge.
Ironically, although you need for first aid level 1 to work here, then finish a 4x4 off-road online course, the guards here are less disciplined than the previous two places I was stationed at. One of them burned out the rubber of a company truck's back tires for whatever reason, another crashed into a one-foot-deep ditch then walked back to camp to avoid a drug test then disappeared (his partner took a few days off due to being in pain but c'mon, how much damage can a freakin' one-foot ditch give you?), and there's a lot of backtalk and political whining.
At the cooks here are nice, they don't seem to get upset that I eat there food--unlike in Lejac! I can say with certainty that I had never encountered cooks who got irritated when you ate their food. It's their job after all. The camp manager at Lejac also took pictures of my bag for whatever reason and would then hastily wobble-scuttle back to his office whenever he saw me.
So, ya, despite being screwed up in the head, there are people weirder than me!
