I write the little one page stories because they are easy to get out and don't require a massive amount of thought or planning. I've ... eh ... done that before ... on my main ...

But like I also said ... given how things have been going on for quite some time with RSOF, and with Jagex being terrifyingly silent about future dev on RS3 ... I don't know what to expect.

I can expect OSRS can continue to go on for some time.
But I did OSRS back when it was RS HD. I don't want to start over.

DF,
I'm the type who believes that you can do as you please, at least as long as it doesn't hurt others. (tho ofc that can be interpreted in many ways as well).

I don't have much of an ego. (That is a rather sad story from a rather painful experience growing up.)
Tbh, I just don't care if you write something "in my honor". I take neither offense to it, nor pride.
If it inspires you, so be it. I cannot stop you, nor will I.

If you feel a time capsule of sorts will do something to help, that is up to you to try. It is a massive undertaking. 1 that I personally don't have the patience to do (hence back to why I do the 'short' stories.)

I haven't left. Post as you see fit.

My suggestion on giving you a heads up if a thread should be 'saved' was more an effort out of respect for your time.
Again, what you are planning to do would be a massive project.

True, people can be critical of their works.
Other times, you may also look at something you wrote 1, 2, ,5 even 10 years ago and say that the immaturity of it pr the topic really doesn't have a place here or you don't want it to be saved because you feel it no longer represents your writing style or interests.

In some regards, that is how I feel about a few of my own shorts.
It's not that I'm being overly critical (though a few of the "noob" stories do fall into the lack of maturity heading.)

As for the others, as I said, it wouldn't hurt that if the others felt the same way about a thread, they should at least consider it.
Again, if they feel the thread has passed it's time, then locking it now prevents a future potential gravebump.

Given the turnover rate of this forum, even if it is locked, they will still be around for some time.

If you ask where my pragmatism and cynicism come from: I'm a Quality Engineer. Been on the hardware side for my entire professional career. Bit of technical writing (user manuals, production documentation, etc) thrown in. Briefly trained to do ISO documentation to boot.
