Americans aren't that bad imo - they tip when they don't need to and pack like they are expecting ww3 could come at any second.

Europeans are generally the ones with bad publicity. We had a UK family tour the country last year. They littered public beaches, skipped out on paying for meals or motels because they "found a hair in it", drove on the wrong side of the road, and stole convenience food from dairies. It got so bad their current whereabouts became frontline news for a whole month and people signed petitions to have them deported...

Oof--yeah, it only takes one moron to ruin it for everyone. But yes, coronavirus is a bit sensationalized--most people who contract it will recover on their own. The main dangerous thing about it is that it easily spreads and mutates quickly especially when in contact with other viruses. Though, when ebola killed over ten thousand Africans a few years ago, well, half the globe wasn’t locked down. Tragically, if coronavirus spreads in multiple African countries, the death toll will probably increase. As usual, third world countries suffer the most.

In my personal experience, Americans are like adventurous Canadians, they don’t really do anything bad most of the time. Mainland Europeans tend to be quite condescending and passive aggressive. Since Trump came to office, America became the laughing stock of the world, and now, very few countries trust or respect America, though the majority of American conservatives are pretty chill people, just like most American liberals. On the bright side amidst this bad flu, as long we stick to a healthy lifestyle, we’ll be safe from most viruses and flues.

Oh, and before I forget, I'll be working on the next turn in Collab very soon. Now that I'm rested, I'll be able to be more regularly-occurring,

My open-ended sandbox RPs are always accepting bios, so feel welcome in Collaboration. Things have just kicked off, too, tho, so you may consider a bio immediately capable in self-defence.

Oh, and before I forget, I'm going back to work tomorrow. Basically, there's a security guard shortage, but I also have my juror summons on the 30th, so I'll be working just for a few days, so why not? I'm paid three hundred twenty dollars for travelling to Houston, plus I get fifty-five dollars a day for food, plus my motel is paid for me, plus I get twelve hour shifts everyday, so why the hell not?

My first paycheck was three thousand seven hundred seventy seven dollars, which blew me away, especially since I was paid 13/15 days so I would imagine the remaining two days I'll get paid for next payday. Strange that such a cheap, easy course got me such a well-paying job, I am making three times as much money as I used to. Pretty soon, I'm gonna have more money than I need 0.o

Are both threads still accepting bio's, or have we reached that awkward phase where nobody's posting?

... given my luck and newfound free time, it's probably the latter.

I am still accepting bios, West. I added a thing on Page 3 of Vampyro some time ago on how you can join the RP at a later date. You can use that as a guide on spawning in your character. =)

Haven't seen Annie much lately, I hope she's alright.

Speaking of well-being, fast food chains like Burger King and McDonald's don't give their employees paid sick leave. This means that, if an employee has coronavirus, and is forced to stay working because unable to afford a decent living, well, sick people serving food'll spread coronavirus by quite a lot. Would be best to avoid fast food chains.

Stock markets went down by what, three thousand points? Isn't that the biggest drop in stock market history? Americans, prepare to lose your jobs, pensions, and homes.

Another example, the guy who owns Virgin Airlines (can't remember his name), he's a multibillionaire yet is forcing 75% of his employees out of work without paid leave, then asks the government for more money, even though he could pay all his laid-off workers a thousand USD every two weeks and this would cost him less than one percent of his wealth. Just shows you that even more progressive billionaires are as psychopathic as conservative-minded ones.

As usual in America, socialism--controlling production and profits--for the wealthy, corporatism--legal exploitation--against the poor.

Things don't seem too well especially with coronavirus. Moreover, lots of Americans have guns, so a lot of pissed off people with no future, jobs, pensions or homes--plus with potentially dying families or dying themselves--means that we'll have a lot of people with nothing to lose, and that's exactly what makes a fearless revolutionary. I wish my American friends the best of luck and hope, we're all gonna need it.

Things aren't too bad down here just yet. Although I live in a rural area so I can't speak for the cities and I'd assume that cities would have a hard time keeping supply lines open enough to provide for their larger, denser populace. Haven't heard of any looting or unrest yet, actually in Ohio people are...mostly listening to the governor, surprisingly. We're on lockdown except for emergencies and essential business or travel.

Generally people have been cooperative with eachother around here. Although in some of the cities close to me, there were people getting in fist fights over toilet paper and beans. The only question is, how long will people listen? Eventually people are going to get sick of staying in or they'll get complacent with things and assume it isn't a threat anymore. Older people are already dubious as to just how dangerous COVID is, which is ironic because they are the most likely to experience fatal complications from it.

I'm trying to take it seriously. I'm relatively young but have older relatives. I'd rather not get it, because it does sound most unpleasant, but I would probably survive. But the people who get it from me should I become infected, they may not fare so well if they're older, immuno-compromised or already have health issues. So basically I'm staying put until I can't anymore. Should be a while because I stocked up at the very start of February anticipating that this very thing could happen.

Glad to hear things are still mostly going well in Ohio for sure, Gun, I have the same concerns as you. Indeed, chances are younger people will be alright, but it's the elderly most as risk.
I never understood why people stockpile toilet paper like crazy during outbreaks, you can wash your behind in the shower, or if you run out of toilet paper, you can use a rag and running water, too (something I haven't done in like twenty years, but growing up very poor makes you learn quite a lot).

Seems like security is a booming industry now, good thing I'm now also a security guard. I noticed security guards at SuperStore and ExtraFoods back in Prince George, plus an increase of armored trucks driving around transporting things, so it really shows that people are getting ready to pay for safety. For anyone else out there, so long as you don't do drugs, security is a good industry.

Glad to hear you're alright, Annie, I hope your art project is going well! I assume it's college?

Lol, my brother was telling me the exact same things about the toilet paper, Azi. I went to CVS today, to get hairspray, and they even marked that up! How else am I going to keep my glorious hair from getting disheveled?! The damn thing cost $18.95 o-0

I honestly want a revolution so that I can watch the heads of social elites roll down the hills of California. As usual once a pandemic comes to wreck our lives. Us queers get blamed for it! We got blamed for AIDS; We got blamed for SARS,; We got blamed for Swine Flu, we got blamed for Ebola once it barely grazed the U.S; We got blamed for Avian Flu, now we're getting blamed for COVID by the "Christian" degenerates who do nothing but flout the message their supposed savior asked them to live by.

It's not just the gays that are getting blamed. Racist, and xenophobic attacks against American's of East Asian descent are increasing in frequency. As a rice queen (A gay guy who falls easy for Asian men), That pisses me the fuck oooooooff!!!!!!! * Takes a deep sigh*

I cannot in good conscience keep my rage in check at the shit I am reading. People being forced to work, when they or their loved ones might be at risk of dying? There is something completely fucked up about this. I expected no less from my country. =/

America the best place to live? Pah, If I ever save up enough money and learn German, I might leave this country for good and settle in the Czech Republic, as I am reasonably sure I can get citizenship there. =)
