Accelerate the collapse.
The Boogaloo is near.
The Kali Yuga is coming to an end. Hermeticism.
If the situation was hopeless, their propaganda would be unnecessary.
The West is Dead, we are a generation of revenge.
Who were you before they broke you?
Never forget what they have done.
They died for nations that they would no longer recognize.
No more brother wars.
Imperium Aeternum.
Revolt against the modern world, not because it is modern, but because it is evil.
Which way, Western man?
We are already at war.
A storm is coming.

Not quite what I had in mind. The American Revolution made sense, the French Revolution made sense though I did not agree killing scientists and nobles, the Russian Revolution made sense but Russia remains as a country of suffering.

Basically, when more and more people conclude their lives are hopeless, they have nothing to lose but their lives, which they already don't value, and so it is, revolutions auto-form. Strange, that America is the most Christian country in the world, yet Americans are very unChristian. What part of loving and helping thy neighbour is hard to understand? 0.o

America is at a crossroads between two directions. That of continuing it's tradition of being a bastion towards all faiths, and one of a new exciting direction without the Lord, or gods in general.

To be fair, calling the U.S a "Christian nation" is antithetical to the notion of the separation of Church and state enshrined in our constitution. It is a fallacy to call America a Christian nation, as America protects all faiths equally.

(in theory. Any faith that isn't Christian, or Jewish in some states is gawked at, at at best, and outright discriminated against in all states at worst. Just look at the sheer amount of hate crimes committed against America's Muslim population. They see the nearest man wearing a turban and shout "Holy fuck, A terrorist!" and next thing you know the man has his face kicked in.)

However. America has a fuck ton of Christians. Too many, in my opinion. The reason is because Europe loved it's religious wars, and a lot of Christians from Europe fled here seeking religious freedom. The Founding Fathers, thus saw best to make sure that All faiths were welcome here in this country. I scratched my head as to why they did that for many years until I put myself in their shoes. Europe had a fuck ton of religious bullshit going on in the 1700's America needed citizens. Religious Freedom was a beacon towards them to motivate them to come here.

However. Muslims were in this country a couple centuries before Europeans even came here.

The short of it is that America is a religious, ethnic, and cultural melting pot. You cannot say that America is only this, or only that. It's a little of everything. =)

Nope--the Trump-Pence administration is basically full of Christian radicals, some of whom wish to induce biblical laws. Most Americans are Christian. Most Americans have the opinion that America is a Christian country. Separation of church and state doesn't really exist now, as megachurches influence voters who to vote. There are elected members in the supreme court who are Christian radicals. Christian churches are basically everywhere. Many universities are run by radical Conservatism, especially of Christians. There are fake universities teaching biblical narratives as scientific truth.
If that's not suggestive of a Christian country, I sure don't know what it is anymore.

Another example, it's popular for Conservative-minded people to claim that transgenders are not faced with governmental laws set against them, even though Trump is trying to legalize discrimination against transgenders in the military or in business. Discrimination against transgenders, homosexuals, blacks, and Latinos are also more common than I'd like. KKK-based crimes, such as murders of blacks, spiked past few years. White supremacy is the most extreme form of identity politics. Most of those involved in such discrimination are Christians, fuelled by Christian entities advocating discrimination.
Of course, there's the hate crimes you mentioned, too.

Laws do not speak louder than people, that's my point.

As I said, America is a melting pot of different religions and cultures, ethnic identities, sexual identities, etc. If we were to call America a Christian nation, then the Christianity would be the only religion in the country. There are a lot of Christians in this country. I will concede that. It really depends on where you are in America, as far as I tell. Most of America is split into liberal and conservative and with some states split between the two 50/50 between the two extremes. Cities are more liberal, and the small towns being more conservative. You will generally find more churches in the small towns and major suburbs.

In the cities, however, you will find less churches. People tend not to give two shits who you are in the city, be it Black, or Gay, or Hispanic; As long as you are not dangerous. Yes, most Americans are Christian, but again, there are Liberal Christians and Conservative Christians. In order to truly call it a Christian nation, you would need a majority of the population of the States to vote to make it a Christian Nation via a Constitutional Amendment. Meaning every single State will need to pass a measure in their state constitution in order to make it so.

Guess what? California ain't doing that. New York ain't doing that. Most people don't really care about who is Christian or Muslim, or Hindu. If this were a Christian Nation, you'd see what we are seeing in India, which is trying to expel it's Muslim Population in Kashmir Province.

There doesn't seem to be that consensus here in the States that Christianity in the National Religion. In truth, Even America doesn't know what the fuck America is when it comes to religion. There are so many religions in this country it's ridiculous. There are Muslims, Jews, Hindus, Buddhists, Seikhs, Animists, minor cults, Satanists, Goddamn Pastafarians, Shintoists, etc.

The Trump/Pence Administration, their cronies, and enablers, and their non-elected officials that they put on our courts are an aberration of American politics, born out of a belief that America has rotted from the inside due to immigration, a lack of jobs in the states that support him. A deep seated anger at what is changing in America (Gay marriage, Transgender rights etc.) The arrogance of the Democratic Party, Barrack Obama's seeming "war" (That's what conservatives would call what his conduct regarding Christianity) on Christianity during his presidency, the polarization of American politics in general. And the fact that the Government was seen as ignoring the plight of the people in States like Ohio, Michigan, Alabama, Louisiana, etc.

Laws do not speak louder than the people, however, they contradict what the people believe, and depending on if it is enforced, are backed by the power of the government. The people who believe this is a Christian nation need only pick up a copy of the Constitution from a book shop and read it, or look it up: Amendment I: Freedom of Religion. Most people don't do that however, because they have their own ideas of what our country is, or they don't care, or are too busy trying to raise their families to care much about what some intellectuals wrote 244 years ago when they envisioned this nation.

Yes, all your points are reasonable and make thorough sense for sure. Indeed, separation from church and state is part of the Constitution (or whatever it's called), too.

I tend to view things as I see them, and what I see is that USA is dominated by Conservative Christians, as they hold the most power, influence and wealth. People make laws, people obey or break laws, people remove laws, people adjust laws.

Regardless of viewpoints, I think we can all agree that separation of church and state is something America desperately needs, especially since that was broken so openly for so long. It was quite a betrayal of the Founding Fathers, but even they weren't perfect, they had their opinions the modern world hates, too. But that's how we improve as a society, by acknowledging what was bad.

Yes, but the far-right Evangelical movement only gained it's influence in thee 1980'a and 90's. Specifically during the Reagan and Bush Administrations (the father, not the son). Reagan curried their favor; whet their appetite for power. Bush continued sating their lust for power, just like his predecessor. Thus a tradition of supporting evangelical causes was established for the Republicunt party. Basically the two things, once separate have become fused together into an unholy package of blegh! Yup, that pretty much sums it all up. On the bright side, younger people are rallying for change, and that's a great momentum. They are the future, a future that you, Rain, and Annie are part of. Although my politics are pessimistic, my faith in humanity is not, and I can feel good changes are on the way with every passing year.
