I mean it really doesn't need to be done. You can if you want. I don't really care either way. But yeah. I never posted my lore thread, as I see several inconsistancies in my own lore. For example, Balta Mirta was originally named Balta Mirtis. Vyras' bio is completely different than what is posted on Vampyro. Tingus' name was also different, and there is mention of blood enchantment- Basically using your own life force to enchant a weapon or piece of clothing. I didn't post it because of these inconsistencies. I do however want to post that Drugal Lore thread, because there is some stuff that I find fascinating about the Drugal.

I'd rather fix the error, even though it is late and doesn't matter. If it only takes a few secs to fix it, I'll do it. I just don't know where the error is :/

Ah, I had a feeling the title meant something more! I thought it was just a name or something.


But yes, just waiting for others to post! I expected to have missed quite a lot since I started my security guard course, but, well, not much happened XD it's both good and bad, but I am hoping everyone gets back. Of course, this is the month of holidays, so I understand that many would be preparing for Christmas and New Years' Eve. Speaking of which, I hope everyone has a great Christmas and New Year!

Question: I seem to take control of everybody's characters a lot. Even if I don't get them autohit, should I do this as a threadmaster, or just let everybody do their own thing? Just your friendly neighborhood gay boy! =)

Well, you could simply narrate the story in the third person and allow us to react how we wish; we can fill in what went on as the next scene appeared. Personally, I don't really care if you control my characters, but other users may find it a bit unwelcome. After all, it's no fun if we don't get the chance to think for ourselves.

My personal opinion, and my experience, is that you shouldn't control other people's characters save for dictating what happens as a result of an action they took. The problem with doing so is that you can very easily make them make decisions they wouldn't/shouldn't, and even if it seems like a small and insignificant thing that can matter.

Generally, I'd say you should just do your best to present the situation to everyone, give them all the outside stimulus that they should get, and then let them go about their business in response to that. It might feel like that'll make things take longer than they should, but making people do things they feel their characters shouldn't, or making a scene run on for long enough that they feel their characters don't get any input at all, is a good way to make people feel like they aren't enjoying what's going on.

Like I said, that's just my opinion, but I feel like it's at least a reasonable point to consider. Done in by the dubious doings of destiny.

Okay, based on what you told me, I noticed a few things on Vyrl's post that I should not have done.

1) I should have given Demi the choice of where his character wanted to go, instead of chosen it for him

2) I controlled Vyrl's assumptions and what he had hear in terms of the rumors he heard about the kids Lexius has sired.


Whoops. I can edit the part of Vyrl's assumptions; in fact I am going to. A little request guys, If I end up controlling your characters for any reason other than your character might die unless I get them out of there, feel free to call me out on it. It's how I will learn. Just your friendly neighborhood gay boy! =)
