Inferi, here is everything you need to know that is relevant to the thread.
Asgarnia was founded 150 years ago by King Renevin, alongside the Black Knights and the White Knights. The Black Knights are Zamorakians, the Saradomists are Saradomists. There was tension between the two orders (they would desecrate each other's shrines and compete for influence), but they both defended Asgarnia from threats.
Fast forward to Year 162, seven years before the game (and presumably this RP) takes place. The current King of Falador is ill. The White Knights immediately use this opportunity to take power, and their first act is to essentially banish the Black Knights. The Black Knights declare war.
They make a couple attempts to take Falador over the years, all of which fail because they're too evenly matched. They end up in a stalemate. Also, because the White Knights claim the Black Knights are evil, evil people are mostly the sort of people the Black Knights attract nowadays. Meanwhile, it's implied that the White Knights and Temple Knights (the intelligence branch of the White Knights) have turned Falador into a police state.
The current leader of the Black Knights, Daquarius, is a reasonable dude, and I've tried to portray him as such. The leader of the White Knights, Amik, is also reasonable, but this RP has portrayed him as a corrupt and ruthless tyrant.
Also, there is an heir to the throne. Prince Anlaf, in Burthorpe. Lorewise he doesn't actually do anything, but IIRC the Betrayal at Falador novel flirted with the idea of him being a closet Zamorakian. Anyway, Burthorpe and its Imperial Guard are under constant threat from the trolls, but the White Knights aren't helping them - likely because the White Knights fear that if Prince Anlaf inherits the throne he will strip them of their power.
Beneath the gold, the Bitter Steel.
