It was your "The Rising Threat" Thread that I was referring to. I recall that you were running out of ideas at the time for RPs, and since I was posting foolishly posting some of my ideas, you decided to rip off some of my ideas. I am referring to that world's lore on magic, with it being outlawed.

There are two main reasons why I think you ripped it off from me.

1) Your villain and mine were basically the same, just different genders. Although that may just be coincidence.

2) You were undoubtedly reading my posts about my witch hunting Rp at the time; whether or not you consciously decided to rip them off from me, I don't know. We are writers, writers get ideas from other writers



It doesn't really matter though. I was just disappointed at the time, because I made a 42 page lore document in Microsoft Word about it. It could have been coincidence. Maybe I'm connecting dots that don't exist, but it did cause me a little distress that all that effort was for nothing. Just your friendly neighborhood gay boy! =)

The Rising Threat was a remake of a remake of a thread I made a number of years ago. There were some minor changes, but all of "The Rising Threat" threads I made have basically boiled down to the same concept: a necromancer is on the prowl, he attacks and destroys a town, a group of adventurers who survived the attack then go on a quest to stop him.

This isn't really something you can "rip off." Magic being outlawed is a very common theme in many fantasy worlds.

The villain's motivation varied from thread to thread. In one, he was being controlled by an evil artifact. In another, he wanted to start his own Kingdom, with him as the King, where he and his followers wouldn't have to worry about being persecuted for their magic. There was also one where the villain was an elf who turned to necromancy to avenge his people.

Also, none of those threads got very far, so you have no right to say "the villains are basically the same."

It wasn't even a Witch-Hunting RP. You are accusing me of ripping you off just because the villain and one aspect of the setting were similar, neither of which were original ideas in the first place. Beneath the gold, the Bitter Steel.
