No, it's not a new RP.

To those who care, I'll be returning home within a week or so. I found out you need work authorization first before you can get sponsorship for a work visa job. I did everything backwards this whole time! To get work authorization, you need to fill out two forms, and in total, the cost would be over five hundred dollars, plus it has up to two hundred days to fully process. I'll be cancelling my appointment with the immigration attorney for tomorrow, and save myself a hundred and thirty USD. I don't need to pay someone to tell me I can't work, after all.

In retrospect, even if I had done everything correctly, I still can't afford to sit in Texas for two-thirds of a year! Even if I were to live in my car! It was a great vacation, though. Got to see my best friend multiple times, bought her a Nintendo Switch and Breath of the Wild, she was so happy she convulsed/knelt from joy, it was so cute. She struggles with suicidal tendencies, so I knew I had to fly by and do everything I can to help her. Her life is more important than my money. Plus, my own mental health has drastically improved, too.

Oh, and I felt incredibly homesick past week or so. Even if I found work, I'd be sick to my stomach at wanting to be home. Despite saving over ten thousand dollars for this, all of a sudden, well, I don't really wanna live in USA anymore 0.o I just miss Canada and want to go home.

That... has to sting. I know how it feels to go through a long and arduous process only to find out that you missed one small detail that completely disqualifies everything you have already done. Nothing on this scale, but still.

To be honest though, America and Canada are basically the same. Only Canada is politer and won't ruin you financially every time you get injured or sick.

Ha, well, tbh, chances are even if I did everything right, I'd still be denied after waiting like two hundred days, and then I may not have been allowed to enter USA at all. This way, I was able to see my best friend for Christmas as well as New Years' Eve, which was pretty cool. I overspent, and will return home basically bankrupt, but y'know, I don't feel stung. However, another reason I must go back home, is that I am developing this severe stomach cramps/crushing pain, and sometimes when I use the toilet, I see blood in the water 0.o it's time to get back to Canada ASAP before (as you said it) I get into deeper debt by ending up in hospital.

But ya, USA and Canada are quite similar. I noticed that folk in East and North Texas tend to be quite polite, too, but drivers down here are quite aggressive. Overall, the only thing better in USA, is that food, clothes and services are a fraction cheaper. Canada has paid maternal leave, free healthcare, and overall easier administration, though.

Hopefully, I'll manage to slip through limiting airport staff during the shutdown.

I will attempt to transfer ownership of my bought vehicle to my best friend; I have no need for it anymore. It seems I have no future, as every time I do something with my life, it always fails. But Elizabeth definitely has a future. One more year, and she's done her university, then she has her whole life ahead of her. Giving her a headstart in life would definitely be a huge advantage for her. I can't help help myself, so might as well help someone else!

Oh, and once I get back home in Canada, I will continue RPing/literary projects. I just have too much going on right now to focus.

Remember the exchange rate, though. The prices might actually be roughly the same.
Indeed! However, even after the exchange rate, clothes, food, services, and cars are a bit cheaper than in Canada. Food and juice are also better quality overall. For example, I saw frozen turkeys and smoked hams as cheap as seven bucks, or ten bucks CDN, but in Canada, the cheapest hams and turkeys are around fifteen dollars.
However, orange juice, eggs, all insurance, and canned foods are cheaper than USA's. Also, Canadian dollar stores have better quality and cheaper scrubbers. Ha!

ANYWAYS, this is my last night in USA. I will rent a car in Tyler, drive to Dallas, drop it off at the DWF airport, then fly to Vancouver and then Prince George. I should be able to post in all RPs this weekend, I hope. Also, due to government shutdown, airports are a bit late/slower, so as a heads up, there's a chance I may miss a plane or an airport gets delays.

Oh, and my best friend's family did not accept me giving them my car, despite their father being unemployed and one of their cars basically breaking down. Elizabeth told me her parents are proud and don't want to feel indebted to others.

So, after I went to the dealer to return the car I bought from them, the owner wasn't interested. However, the friendliest staff member (a Mexican-looking dude with a southern accent) talked the owner to change his mind, I was able to get them to cosign the vehicle (or something like that), so they will sell it for me. The fee is five hundred bucks plus a few percent or something. They'll try to sell it for four grand, but won't go lower than 3500, so I'll get about 2/3 of my money back, excluding the documentation fee and insurance.
