And if you're gunna be depressed, might as well get paid for it.
XD great motto. Never thought of customer service. I like helping people, so maybe it'll suit me. Will keep it in mind as I look for H2B visa sponsors via employers.

I worked closely with the Customer Service team at a previous employer. Got to hear some of their former employers too.

Usually the ability to interact with people and help them without going nuts or raising your own voice is more important.
Second is being able to learn the products you are supporting.
Third is your ability to work quickly.
Fourth is your ability to do follow up sales (sometimes, you may be asked to help with extended warranties or upgrade packages.) So if you've had at least some retail sales experience ...

More often than not, it is possible to get in on the ground floor of a place with little experience.

There are caveats.
Again, if their product lines are very complex, they may require the CSR's to have experience or even be certified in solving networking issues (essentially low to mid level IT type work).

I'm mostly alright. I was pleased to find a governmental website that has a database listing H2A jobs and their companies. I had to manually find these companies and send them emails one by one. If all goes well, someone will hire me, and I can begin my immigrant temporary work in USA for this year!

I would like to work for this company in Plano, as it's relatively nearby, and the nearest place I can work via H2A. It's for some sort of gardening/landscaping company, deals with grasses, rocks and soils/sands, stuff like that. Wages are 11.28 an hour, which is much better than entry level jobs that keep declaring me ineligible whenever I ask about work visas.

On Monday, my possible employer will phone me, as he was contacted by his immigration attorney. So, next step is done. Now, it's just a waiting game. Thank you, Annie, for your support! I am hoping activity will return sooner or later, but there's always Omega to post in (if you haven't already)!
