What? Christmas gifts that go horribly wrong?

I had an idea after watching a DnD video recently - rather than exploring the world at large, the story focused exploring a single dungeon with quirky dnd characters facing a manical undead overlord. It was a bite sized story with a beginning and end, not unlike video game dungeons. I'm wondering if it might be worth trying to pen something similar.
