In this RP, you can choose to be one of 7 endearing characters!

~ The potentially abusive father, who puts their career before family.
~ The alcoholic soccer mom, who is a "modern woman" who never has time for her kids.
~ The favourite child.
~ The unfavourite child (aka. the meg).
~ The cute youngest child.
~ The annoying single grandparent who nobody can seem to tolerate.
~ The family dog nobody seems to ever want to walk or take care of.



... Really, I think it would get old fast. :P

Invert the parents (mom the career driven 1 that ignores the family, dad the drunken soccer parent)
the dog is actually the favorite and gets more attention (gets spoiled rotten)
none of the kids have the mix of traits the parents wants (ie: one kid is athletic but enjoys annoying things like polka music and painting with mud)
1 kid is looking to escape at first opportunity, but every attempt to "Escape" gets them stuck back at home
1 kid is actually totally fine with the situation
the grandparent, no one even knows they live there (the grand parent is that sneaky). but this allow the grandparent to act as a deus ex machina towards some of the family problems

So basically you guys are brainstorming a Malcolm in the Middle roleplay with more dysfunctional people involved?

A bold gambit. I once made a roleplay about a bunch of trailer park rednecks and their misadventures. It turned out pretty good. Fifteen pages of hilarity. It was called Life of a Redneck.
