Nah, it's edible. Very much so, actually, since there's more monsters than animals in this world. Rather, monsters are the majority of the animal population.

And I mean, you've got the rain too, at least if you can catch enough of it. It won't last too long, though, even then. Done in by the dubious doings of destiny.

Well, you have written yourself into a corner - literally. The trouble is that Annie is hiding without any discernible reason – and while this can be explained away as childish hide and seek, this does limit you to an observational role.

Personally, I do think you do have some power to sway the conversation – if you fall out of your hiding spot spectacularly for example, you could potentially drop a topic and change the flow of a conversation (though I think this is wishful thinking, since player conversations are an extension of the Roleplayer’s world building).

Writing yourself into a corner is pretty easy to do when you try to write the same character all the time and that same character has to face different situations while remaining unchanged. Or is that just me?

Anyhow, I've been trying to start on another novel for like six months at this point but I'm lacking inspiration to actually sit down and write. I'm thinking maybe roleplaying a bit might get me back into the swing of things. Anyone here got a modern/realistic sort of thread that they plan to release, or, if not, is anyone interested in such a thread if I were to make one myself?

1. Please don't do this. This is what Annie always does and it really needs to change because it's overused and not done in the correct situations.

That's why you have to make it grand. Throw everything off the shelves, hell, rip those shelves off those walls in a spectacular chain reaction that spills everything across the floor. Channel the true built-by-the-lowest-bidder spirit.

I was thinking of creating a modern city crawler where we play as a peacekeeping force openly supressing a demon invasion in quarantined areas of populated cities. I’m debating whether player characters could receive powers by channelling the demons, or if we would simply play as badass normals using weapons made of demon parts.

Probably not up anyone's alley :P For the most part, I don't typically like "normal".



EDIT: I might not like how she bought it up, but Annie actually has a point. Talia and the Captain are pushing a "but thau must" mission, leaving no contingency if they fail. The captain knows too much, and Talia is so calm she must know something the others don't.
