I WILL QUESTION WHOEVER I WISH

So it's for the best that I have permission. Anyway...

If, say, my character had minor mind manipulation magic (just enough to, let's say, make someone forget they've been pickpocketed rather than completely change their outlook on a topic) would that be the sort of thing she'd be burned at the stake for? And either way, would The Organization be associated with it, or would it be too much of a risk?
I just play FFXIV at this point. DC: Crystal

The Organization would be willing to overlook it, especially considering how extremely useful it would be. But the townspeople and guards wouldn't. Still, I don't see how that's a problem when you can just make them forget you have it.

Edit: Actually, come to think of it that would be a bit overpowered. How about it stops working the moment someone figures out she has it?

First Reaction: Eww...

"Ahh, fresh meat!"

Diablo aside, I wanted to create a community project different from the norm, following a semi-Lovecraft feel that is greatly expanded into an apocalyptic form. My last location, the Cathedral of Suffering, is the most disturbing aspect.

But ya, I tend to be morbid, I like imagery that is disturbing, bloody and surreal, because I usually don't stumble across them very often. Sometimes, I have seen body horror in Japanese games, but every time, they seem to never be a threat.

For example, in the game Dead Space, the body horror-themed monsters can rip you apart, yet a single stomp will break them asunder. It's like they're made of jello. Whereas, in John Carpenter's film The Thing, the monster can take two dozen shots, separates into multiple monsters, can live inside people without them knowing about it, and this actually feels like a threat.
