Inferi,
There are no limitations to how powerful your character can be (later on, there is even a storyline that basically forces you to be an ultrapowerful hero), so long as you don't, like, blow up the planet. You don't have to be an unknown, you can also be someone famous, skilled, successful, or what have you, but it may require more work.
Oh, ya, np, we can talk more tomorrow, when it's easier. I will also add more notes to the Character Creation Prompt to be more specific.
NotFishing,
I meant my comment as a joke, I did not mean to sound like I was denying climate change, I was trying to be funny. I don't believe in a literal global warming that transforms the world into a desert, and yes, weather becomes more extreme as you said, due to more carbon emissions that empower (so to speak) the weather. The evidence of this extremity is in massive hurricanes and increase in hotter temperatures; the hotter weather and extra CO2 adds more energy to weather, creating stronger hurricanes.
Of course, I understand that weather used to be much hotter in the past. For example, during Ancient Rome, barbarian Europeans did not wear shirts during winter, due to winters being quite warm. During the dinosaur days, there was vastly more oxygen and heat than today.
Depending on how you interpret the data, gives various opinions. Personally, I don't really care about climate change because it seems to be inevitable, but it is important for humans to minimize pollution, carbon emissions, and chemicals. Thus, solar power is the cleanest alternative, though there's still some work to be done.
