To anyone who may live in or near Europe, Poland has mobilized five hundred tanks, Russian soldiers took a Ukrainian city, Putin is preparing for war, and there are already some causalities in Ukraine. In case this leads to further war, it may be a good idea to stockpile large bags of flour, beans, rice, and oats, and learning how to cook the three latter via boiling would be useful, and learning how to make bread is also very good. Stockpiling water would be difficult, as it takes up lots of space and you need to buy large containers, but leaving your bathtub and sinks full of water all the time is an alternative.
On the brighter side, maybe a winter-based comical RP would be useful? It can be a classic "quest towards Christmas" theme, relating the real world with the RP, for fun. Other than that, and my previous suggestion, I am running out of ideas for RPs in this forum. If anyone has any ideas or suggestions, that'd be good.
Unless, of course, the holidays are what's preoccupying everyone, then that makes sense. As for NaNoWriMo, I basically failed completely. With so much paperwork and driving to and fro from the city, I ran out of energy and just can't concentrate. My novel only reached two chapters. Better than nothing, but I did make over 30k words of notes, so there's still tonnes of notes that I still finished, so it's still a partial success in that regard.
