Transformation sequences are pretty standard, usually come with stock footage and g-rated nudity (ie. an "astral form" that doesn't have private parts or anything considered rude).
I was trying to find a way to describe how transforming into a magical girl is more like slapping on a face of makeup, wearing a good dress and magically setting ones hair on fire, rather than completely changing one's physique... in a more eloquent way, of course. For some weird reason, these ideas only seem to come to me when I hit the post button.
Resorting to links for that is cheating...!
