Oh, and I forgot to give a reason why I was gone most of today. I went to a friend's wedding at a church. Her name was Ania, I knew her for about fifteen years. We were not friends, but we knew each other. At the church, I also saw another young woman I recognized since elementary school, and then two other young women I recognized, one having one kid but pregnant, and the other having three kids. However, the four young women I recognized made no reaction to me, I guess they did not remember me.
It's always interesting to see people you only knew as children all grown up. I mean, it's inevitable, but it does tend to give a sense of mixed feelings!
Meanwhile, on the theme of "growing up" - I suggest you keep this picture tabbed for your next job interview!
XD yup, that sums up my life pretty much. I hated picking flax, but I did drone out to it for two days straight, then went back to mining and smithing ores.
Now, I don't play games as much as I used to. In fact, I have not played any game for a week, as I was practicing friction fire. I am now fairly good at bow drill friction fire, yesterday, I produced an ember within twenty seconds or so, and I repeated that twice more afterwards. My way is, you just amass powder first by strong but slower drilling, speed up to smoke it, then blow air to make an ember. I did this with dead, dry wood. I attempted to practice with friction fire by hand, but I keep failing, as I don't have a more delicate kind of wood that breaks up into dust easily, even when I use a thumb thong.
Oh, and I attempted to make a stone axe from one piece of rock, using an angle grinder and power drill to get it into shape, then the handle cracked off during the knapping. Oh well, turns out the rock wasn't that good anyways.

Shouldn't stone axes already be sharp enough depending on how you chip them? I mean, it's not like ye olde people had access to power tools!
EDIT:

Goes to show what I know.
Powertool away!
It wasn't as easy as I thought. The big rock I used, was rather wide, like three inches thick, so I had a lot to remove. The stone was already handle-shaped, too.
I posted for Titano, continuing the Collector subplot. The Arbiter and Dr. Prindle can now continue. It is assumed that the subplots occurred at different times, and now, it is how it is.
