I will wait and see what George wishes to do. If he allows me, or he passes his turn, I can go ahead and continue posting slightly, a half-turn so to speak.

In Scions of Sorcery, I am waiting for Wolf, but she seems to have disappeared, so I don't know what to do. If necessary, I may have to split Poca from the other Elves, to continue your adventure, but so far, it's just you and Ancient who seem to be available for SoS. If necessary, I can ''shortcut'' all current subplots and merge them together in a re-intro to continue the adventure, too, but I will wait for the opinions of George, Westenev and NotFishing about this, and see what they feel about Scions of Sorcery thus far.

I posted twice and went afk. I don't think I have much of a say in Scions.

If I remember correctly, the character I made was an expy of Velvet Crowe. She was perhaps one of the first character I’ve seen that enraptured me in the idea that heroes didn’t have to be “good", and villains didn't need to be "evil". Everyone's just trying to protect what is dear to them in their own way.

Velvet was a person who was in the wrong place at the right time, and ultimately lost everything because of it (her hometown and little brother, which were destroyed by the heroic half-brother she once looked up to). Yet, beneath her sorrow and thirst for revenge lay a person who, more than anything, wanted to be loved and acknowledged by friends – yet, she had become a monster who ate all the negative emotions in the world. Who would accept her? Why did she live, if not for revenge?

Luckily, she gets better – unlike some other stories I could name, where the characters in question have nothing left to live for beyond their thirst for revenge, and promptly allow themselves to get killed off.

In hindsight, I don't think I could have pulled her off.

Velvet was one of the best protagonists in the Tales series. Possibly my personal favorite, even if the game itself wasn't the best. Done in by the dubious doings of destiny.

Ok.

How long are you going to Texas for?

I don't know. The drive will probably be about five days, I'll stay with my friends for at least two days or maybe more, and I will try to get a work visa or student visa, see if I can get a job in Texas that way. I am also trying to start a new life, as I've been unemployed for almost a year besides nine days of work. So, I have to get on with my life, which could take up to two months.

West,
Yeah, but it's better than nothing! Hm, well, Raven modeled off that kind of character is quite cool, but I never knew of that franchise. As usual, I am quite ignorant of anime.

Anyways, I will keep my word, and try to finish my steampunk idea tonight, if I am able. It will just be a lore thread, but allow users to post bios, ideas, areas, equipment, and whatnot. This will be what I leave behind before I leave for my trip. Since I am going to USA while there's lots of political tension, I might get killed, or die in an accident, or what have you, so if I disappear for more than a year, assume I am permanently gone. However, I speculate I'll be OK, it's quite unlikely I'll get murdered by an angry mob, or die in a car accident, but these are possibilities nonetheless.
